Story description: Anne and Gilbert have broken up and Gilbert finds out that Anne is in an abusive relationship

It has been a few years since Anne and Gilbert have broken up after Anne has ran into Gilbert kissing another girl. Anne has recently gotten into a new relationship with rich boy Roy gardener, while Gilbert has recently gotten a job at a coffee shop in hopes to get rid of Anne forever,

After a few weeks Anne has been getting bruises and cuts on her face, she has talken to Marilla, Diana, and ruby about all this and there only suggestion was to call the authorities on Roy, but Anne was to in love to do that.

After this has gone on for another 4 weeks, Anne went into the local coffee shop in Avonlea with her hood up and makeup trying its bestest to hide the bruises and cuts that laid on her face and lip. When she went to the counter to get her coffee, she saw someone who she never thought she would see again

Gilbert Blythe, the boy she broke up with

Gilbert was excited to see Anne, but Gilbert noticed something was wrong with his Anne, his Anne with an e, so he got someone to cover his shift for him so he could talk to anne, so the two of them got a table to talk.

"Anne what's wrong?" Asked Gilbert, Anne sighed heavily as she crossed her arms

"You know Roy Gardner?" Asked Anne, Gilbert looked at Anne confused

"Maybe from other people but what does he have to do with this?" Asked Gilbert, Anne removed her hood so her bruises and cuts were visible, Gilbert gasps

"Anne! Who did this?!" Asked Gilbert as he rose his voice a bit Anne started crying

"Roy Gardener," said Anne "I don't know why I was so blinded to see that he wasn't the one, when the boy I loved most is sitting in front of me,"

Gilbert smiled and placed a hand on the back of Anne hand and kissed her knuckles

"Anne you deserve better," said Gilbert "but this is awful did you break up with him?" Anne nodded

"And I did what I should've done a long time ago," said Anne, Gilbert smiled

"What was that?" Asked Gilbert

"Well marilla did it, I called the authorities so now they arrested him," said Anne as she smiled "and I think a certain boy deserves a second chance,"

Gilbert smirked and smiled

"Well than I accept the second chance," said Gilbert

Then the two pair sat together admiring the time that they had together until Gilbert has gotten called back to his shift so Anne went back home, and they lived happily ever after
