36. Endless

"How do we get in?" Jin asks as we hover over the base in stealth mode.

"Pipes!" I squeal when I see a few big pipes.

Big enough to fit people of our size.

"I'll trace the pipe ways wait." Jin says before typing something in into the programme.

"There. These pipes lead to a air duct right above the room where the robbery had taken place!" Jin exclaims.

"Awesome" I give Jin a thumbs up before opening the way out.

"Ready?"

"Ready!" Jin says before we jump out and open our parachute.

With a safe landing, we look around before climbing into the pipes.

Slowly crawling our way forward with our database leading us stop when we reach near the air duct.

With the multi bracelet, Jin gets the screwdriver out and slowly gets the screws of the screen out. I collect the screws and keep them to the side while Jin removes the screen. He peeps out to look for any signs of danger.

Seeing none, he nods before jumping out as I follow.

"Time to look around for treasure." Jin winks before we split.

Looking around I duck my head down the table and see something.

"Jin...!" I whisper and call him.

"Yeah?"

"There are droplets of some liquid here, water I think?" I say while getting a dropper and taking a sample.

"Look, the cactus there. There is something there." Jin gets up and goes to the cactus and with a tweezer, picks up something stuck at the thorns.

"It looks like a piece of cloth- wait, there is something on it as well. Looks like a.....a....piece of flesh?"

Jin makes a disgusted face and puts the evidence in a plastic bag.

"Let's move on" Jin says and gets up.

I nod and again start to look around.

And I do find something else.

Footprint.

I take the evidence into consideration and do what I have to do with it like taking samples of the dust.

As I'm done with it, we hear footsteps.

"Someone is coming." I whisper.

Jin nods at me signaling that there is nothing else to see here and we should get out of here.

We look up and using the suction gloves, we reach the air duct again. Climbing inside, we screw the lid and move away.

"They wouldn't know a thing." I sass as we get out of the place and get back into our plane.

I'm on the pilot seat handling this plane while Jin analyzed the samples.

"This DNA that we found, I think I would try to match it with the DNAs in the list of criminals we have from the agency. However this cloth, it is not used in many places. Just a few factories in Neverland-" there is a little pause in what Jin was saying before he continues.

"Netherland I mean. Why would I say Neverland? Stupid me. Anyway, yeah Netherlands it is. I've sent the sample to the agency as well." Jin says before taking a seat next to me.

"Alrighty Jinnie~" I coo before chuckling at the done look he is giving me.

"Hey you wanna have some fun?" I smirk at him.

"What fun?"

"I want to see Jungkook's reaction to me not answering his texts and calls right now and we aren't very far." I wink st him.

"God Haewon." Jin rolls his eyes at my idea of fun but I don't wait to not fly towards their mansion."

"They are trying out a new dome shield thing around their Mansion so we can't go above it even when we are in stealth mode. Good thing we have these distance earphones!" I grin like a child getting presents on a Christmas morning.

Putting them on, none of us say a word. Cancelling all the other voices and just focusing on the sound waves from Jungkook's mansion, we listen.

Damn the tea was hot here. I heard what I wanted and oh, how did I love it.

"Yes Jimin Hyung? WHAT? She isn't at the office either?"

"Yes Namjoon Hy- not at her home either? But if she isn't there as well, where could both of them go?"

You could feel the panic in his voice.

"Hoseok hyung? Their name on the lists of the airports? No? Ugh!"

"Where could they have gone?!" Those words are followed by a loud shatter, as if he threw something.

"Jungkook calm down! We will find them, not being calm may make the situation worse. Maybe she is visiting someone who she hasn't mentioned to you because we checked all the places and homes of people she has mentioned to you." Jimin says.

They did WHAT?

They have quite the gut to do all of that, little fuckers-

"Bu- But what if, someone has kidnapped them? We are with them a lot of the time. What if one of the enemy gangs took them-" Jungkook continues to panick.

"Let's not jump to conclusions soon Kook. If that was the case, we would have gotten the message or we would get one-" Namjoon starts speaking but is cut off by Jungkook again.

"And if this is history repeating? What if this is the same case Scanerio that....that...happened with Da- Dad-" Jungkook's voice wavers and you can tell that he is close to crying.

Just for a second, for a tiny fraction of time, I felt the need to go and show him that I'm fine. But as quickly as that thought came, it went way as well.

"You okay?" I hear Jin next to me.

"What- yeah yeah, I'm fine- how are you-" I'm caught off guard.

"Uh........I'm good? You sure about this plan of yours Haewon? Because you sure don't look like you are." Jin states confidently.

"What? Yeah, yeah I'm sure. We need a break. It's been way too long."

"For how many days?" Jin asks.

"Uh- I don't know- uh 2 days?"

He gives me the 'you serious?' - look

"3 days? 4 days?" I question.

"Ah- 2 days I guess. You won't be able to take it for more than and he would surely go crazy." Jin comments.

"No, I can handle anything-" I deny despite knowing that I would have anxiety about what he might do.

And with that, we left. Not waiting for another conversation. We go to Gwangju for the two days.

Endless sleeping and chilling, here I come. And endless calls and texts from Jungkook.
