53. Tease

"Why can't you stay tonight as well? Stay..." Jungkook murmurs as his arms deny to let me loose and push my back at his chest while his chin rests on my shoulder.

"Because I have a meeting tomorrow first thing in the morning." I pout as I try to pick up my hand bag.

"Just shift the meeting to afternoon...come on, please? Stay with me~"

"Then tomorrow in the morning, you'll tell me to shift the meeting to evening." I laugh and turn around in his arms.

"Sometimes you knowing me so well is a disadvantage you know." He grins.

"I know. Its not like you're not going to see me again. You always find ways to meet me in the most unexpected times." I smile and brush imaginary lint off his shoulder.

"But still~ I right now want you in my arms instead of you going away!" He whines, pushing me into giving him 'you've got to be kidding' look.

"Jungkook when do you not want me in your arms?"

He gives a guilty smile while whispering, "N.....ever?"

"That's what I thought. Come on baby, I'll meet you tomorrow at my lunch break okay?" I kiss his cheek while he pouts like a baby.

"Please? Stay! Why won't you stay~"

"Not the puppy eyes Jungkook." I laugh and hid my face in his chest, trying hard to avoid those eyes from hypnotizing me into giving in.

"Ugh, fine. But you're for sure going to me see me tomorrow? And answer all my calls?" He asks.

"Ofcourse."

"Good." He pouts again but bends forward to peck my lips.

I smile at him and clutch my handbag. "Well then, I'll see you later!"

"Wait! I'll walk you to the cab!"

He grins at me as we walk down the stairs together, hand in hand.

"Look who's here, the world's most lovey dovey couple!" Minji exclaims in an excited, yet teasing voice.

Jungkook simply shrugs and shakes his head trying to ignore the stares that seem to pierce through us, waiting to pull our legs.

I notice Jungkook finally get over it and look up with a piercing glance of his own.

"You guys can stop being so weird and creepy about us you know. It's been over 6 months! Get over it."

"You know it's the longest relationship you've had right?" Namjoon chuckles confidently.

"That's not something to bring up infront of my-"

"Hush! We don't care. Its something we can tease you about, why hold back on it? You for sure wouldn't have Jungkook." Sunmi laughs as she cuts him off and walks over to me, just to place her arms around my shoulders.

Well this is awkward.

"Why? What happened to the girls before me?" I casually ask, not really interested but oh well...

Jungkook immediately narrows his eyes and gives me a dramatic look of betrayal.

You wanted tea about my love life at the orphanage, it's not my fault revenge is sweet Jungkook.

"Eh, gold diggers and flings. It's amazing that he has finally found himself in a genuine relationship for the first time but it used to be fun to find out if the girl was a gold digger. All it took was an hour of Minji and me talking to her." Sunmi recalls and has the whole room apart from Jungkook burst into laughter.

"Yeah yeah, well it's all in the past. And it doesn't even matter anymore coz I'm JK." Jungkook folds his arms while making the 'smart' remark.

"Yeah it doesn't even matter because he is just kidding." Hoseok jokes, helping the chain of laughter continue.

Jungkook seems to just get more and more embarrassed as the clock ticks so I decide to enter and put an end to it. Seeing him get so uncomfortable made me uncomfortable for some reason.

"Alright, alright. That's enough. He may have made some bad choices but this is my first genuine, scratch that, my first relation actually. And I'm glad that I get to be his first in that sense as well." I tighten my fingers around his and smile at him.

The laughter seems to have been replaced by awes and then cut short by the sound of the horn of a car.

"Oh right! Your cab is waiting!" Jungkook realizes.

"Right, bye everyone!"

With that, he and I run out and stand infront of the cab.

"Go home safe and call me once you reach okay?" He commands and slowly leans down to place a soft kiss on my cheek.

I frown while tilting my head to the side with a pout.

He chuckles before bending down to quickly peck my lips this time and then puts his cheek before my lips. I lean forward and peck his cheek in return and look at him.

"I'll call you." I smile and feel his hand locate the handle of the cab door.

Opening it, he moves to the side and lightly bends, "M'lady."

I chuckle at how silly he is at times and get into the cab. He closes the door behind me and whispers a 'Bye' through the window.

"I'll miss you. Bye!" I wave as the cab starts moving.

Seeing his blend away in the distance, I sigh and turn to face the front of the car.

"So you two are really getting along Hmm?"

"Yeah....its been half a year already so things are going according to plan." I reply.

"Open the compartment of the middle seat. You'll find it there."

I move a little to my side and open the compartment to find a box in it.

"This?"

"Yeah, that's the gadget."

"Great, thankyou Minseok!" I smile at him, as if success is so close and it is to be honest.

And maybe it's the first time that someone who is close to success is sad that they have almost won.

I do want to win but not at the cost of someone's feelings and emotions. Maybe his purpose is bad, but his nature doesn't seem bad at all.

Who are you Jungkook? Whose motives from match his nature and personality?

To be brutally honest with you, I've been feeling kind of burnt out lately. I know what I want in the story, I know how it will work but I've just been kind of putting it off lately.

But don't worry, I will give updates, I won't discontinue or anything. This story will end someday and that day isnt far away XD
