21. Sure

I heard the door open and close, signaling that Jin was back.

"Welcome home homieee~" I coo and chuckle at how silly I can be, all while looking into the laptop.

"You're....up? Lyra, You're supposed to be resting!" Jin sternly says.

I pout at him, "You were following Jungkook, what if something happened? I need to protect my Bread Genie."

Jin gives me a weird look.

"What's with the look?" I ask.

"You can't protect me while you're hurt Ms. Hero and you shouldn't worry so much when you're injured like that." He scolds gently.

"Its not that big of a deal, I can still walk around. Look-" as I try to get off the bed, Jin pushes me back on the back with wide eyes.

"Hell no, you're on bed rest. Doctor SeokJin's orders!" He frowns.

I roll my eyes at his over protectiveness.

"Anyway, what did you get?"

"Well...."

Flashback

Jin spots Jungkook getting into that same bar, they had seen them in person for the first time.

After some people had already gotten into the bar who were in like after Jungkook, Jin entered.

He took a seat right next to Jungkook. Jin wasn't recognizable, even a slightest bit. Wig, contouring changing his face shape, fake beard, voice changing collars- everything just worked perfectly.

Sitting there with a beer bottle in his hands, he sees Jungkook gulping the alcohol like no tomorrow.

"Rough day huh mate?" Jin asks in a raspy voice with the help of the collar.

Jungkook nods slowly not even looking at the stranger talking to him, before gulping down another drink.

"Looks bad, you wanna talk about it mate?"

"Its none of your goddamn business!" Jungkook snaps.

Jin shrugs and nods before saying "well I just wanted to help." 

There is a moment of silence before Jungkook's soft voice is heard through the booming music.

"I hurt someone I love." He says, avoiding eye contact.

"Oh? Whatchu do?"

"Just....something bad. She hates me now. I'm sure of it. I'm sure she never wants to see my face again. Never wants me to come near-"

"You're saying 'I'm sure' a lot, has she told you that she never wants to see you or are you assuming?"

Jungkook stops for a moment before continuing.

"I....she didn't say it but her face did."

"But you have to hear it from her mouth to be 100% sure mate."

"But- But she's scared of me now."

Jin gives a frown. "You didn't abuse her did you now?"

Jungkook visibly gulps.

"N- No ofcourse not. I'd never want to hurt her intentionally." His eyes glossy.

"She sounds special." Jin shrugs.

"She is...there is something about her. Something unique that I haven't figured out yet but she is like a puzzle. I love the puzzle part of hers..." he softly smiles.

"Well then you should try and get her back."

"I just told you she doesn't want to-"

"What did I just say?"

Jungkook remains quiet.

"So you're saying I should be behave like a desperate person for forgiveness and to have her back?"

"If she is that special, then yes. Is she worth that trouble?"

Jungkook again takes a moment to think to himself.

"I've got it! I understood what I have to do! I'll have to come out clean and explain my reasons. I'm sure she would understand right?"

"I don't know you tell me?" Jin gives a smile.

"I know she will!" Jungkook gives a bunny smile with a hint of the alcohol.

That's when another man stumbles forward due to the crowd dancing.

"Jungkook! Do you even know how worried we were!" He shouts.

He being Jimin.

Jungkook pouts at him.

"You're Ji-mean~" he cooes due to the alcohol.

"Aish....why do you do this to yourself." Jimin starts dragging Jungkook out while Jungkook shouts a thankyou at Jin, making Jimin look at Jin suspiciously.

"Damn he is affected." I roll my eyes.

"Sure seems so." Jin shrugs.

"What next?" I ask.

"What do you mean? You're resting until that gunshot is okay missy!"

"Ugh! No~" I groan at Jin.

"Aaah I had thought I'll come back to find you sleeping so I could cook in peace and then wake you up for dinner but looks like things don't always go as planned." He rolls his eyes playfully knowing he had sparked interest in me.

"I want dinner!" I pout.

"But you have to rest for that! Then comes dinner!"

"Baby Haewon can't nap with an empty stomach!" I smile evily at him with my arms on my hips.

"Oh yeah? And who finished this full pack of blue berries baby Haewon?" Jin smirks while picking up the packet that had missed the dustbin when I had tried to toss it into it lazily.

"Shit." I groan out of frustration.

"No getting out of this miss. Come on go nap for an hour, I'm gonna make dinner while you sleep."

"Is there anyway I can not sleep and work? Pretty please Jinnie?" I pout and make puppy eyes.

"Not gonna work~", and before I know it, my laptop is gone and covers are being pulled over me.

"Jinnie!" I whine as he tucks me in.

"Baby Haewon will sleep!" He chuckles in a evil sounding voice.

Leaving me here alone, he walks away to make dinner.
