38. Softly

A day later~

"Another date?" Jin asks.

"Yeah, stargazing as usual."

"Don't you guys have other things to do instead of the same old stargazing?" Jin face palms.

"But I like it and so does he. Its a hassle free thing that makes you feel serene."

"Well honey I don't think that's the case today because news said its gonna rain toda-" the honking of Jungkook's car interrupts Jin just as he is about to finish his sentence.

"Jungkook's here I think, you can suggest things later Jinnie~" I smile and send a flying kiss towards his direction.

"Stop copying me." He pouts and pokes my cheek.

I cheekily grin at him before walking out the door. Just as I am walking down to his car, I feel something fall on my face.

I immediately stop and look up, just to have more raindrops fall on my face. I gasp and run into the car, being grateful of the fact that I wasn't soaking wet from the rain.

"They did say that it was going to rain... I completely forgot about it..." Jungkook says while looking outside, at the rain. The disappointment that he was feeling because of the sudden rain was pretty evident.

"I'm sorry..." he whispers with a long face. I softly smile at him and place a swift kiss on his lips while caressing his cheek before saying, "It's alright, we can do stargazing some other day maybe."

"You sure?" He asks.

I hum and nod at the same time with my hand still on his cheek.

"What do we do now then?" He questions.

"I don't know, got any ideas?" I answer with an answer.

"Hmm....would you like to watch a movie? At my place? Maybe you could stay over if you'd like....?"

"We could see a movie, I'm not sure about the night stay but let's do the movie first yeah?"

He squeaks a small "yes!" before he has the car engine roaring back to life and driving into the direction of his mansion.

Sitting at the same place where we sat the last time I was in into cinema room, I look at Jungkook, whose head was right now on my lap while I was sitting up straight with my fingers caressing his hair.

I don't know why but I've been observing Jungkook all this time and I can't help but notice something unusual. He seems a little down, lost and not himself in general. Normally he is flirty and happy, today it was none of that.

I get caught staring at him when he decides to look up at me.

"You're not liking the movie?" He asks. 

"No no, it's good." I smile.

"Then what's wrong? You've been seeing me instead of the movie..."

"You're just more attractive that the movie." That's something Jungkook should have said about himself but he didn't. I make up my mind to enquire about it.

He chuckles before speaking again,

"But the movie will finish, I won't." He raises his head from my lap and sits up.

"What's wrong?" He asks softly.

"What's wrong with you?" I ask in the same tone.

"Me? I'm completely my-" I don't let him finish his lie, instead I kiss him softly.
