1. Past

"Yeah! I know! The new technique is so cool, I can't believe I didn't know about it!" Taeguk squealed as we exited the building.

"I know right!" I giggled.

We had just got over with a class at the make up school I go to. It has just started a week ago. I've always aspired to become a Make up Artist.

Mom has always supported me. She says dad would be happy to see me achieve my dreams. Before I was born, he had gotten into a car accident which took his life away. But Mom has been strong, she always was.

So it's just her and me now but it doesn't lessen the love. She's the best person in the entire world.

"Haewon! What do you think?"

"Huh? What? I'm sorry, I was thinking of something" I give her am apologetic look.

She huffs in annoyance.

"I was asking you about that lipst-" She was cut of by my phone ringing.

"Excuse me" I whisper before picking up the call by an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Ms.Kim I need you to be at your place as soon as possible. It's important." A very professional male voice said.

"Excuse me? My place? I think you've got the wrong number si-"

"No. I need you to be here. Please. It's something involving your mother."

With that the mysterious man hung up.

Mom?

Bad thoughts started taking over me as I was paralysed with fear for a while.

Taeguk looked at me confused.

"I- I'm sorry, I have to go. It's important." I said before running off as fast as I could.

The school wasn't far from the complex we live in. I reached fast enough. Fumbling with the key of the door, before I slid it in the door opened.

I saw a built man in a black suit.

"Who are you!?" I sheirked.

He didn't answer, but he opened the door wider as if asking me to come in. There was another man. Both men had sunglasses on even inside.

"What's going on?" I asked, afraid.

"You're finally here Ms.Kim." I recognised that voice.

What was happening? Out or no where two men in our place? I get a call and am asked to be here.

They can't be thieves can they?

"You- You said you needed to talk to me....about Mom." I said in a wavering voice.

"Yes....I hate to break it to you but...." He paused.
