Starlight

Twinkling, glistening beside the pale crescent moon,

They define the night sky, beckoning for the day to come soon.

Bright dazzling balls of light like little beacons of hope,

A sense of calm fills me that helps me to cope.

Magical, they are like tiny sprinkles of galactic fairy dust,

They keep the moon company so they are a must.

Shining, like a white diamond gracefully reflecting light,

And at night time, the stars shine oh so bright.

A mystical aura surrounds them, giving them a unique feel,

Though they never appear through the sky's shades of teal.

But they litter our galaxy, seen everywhere and throughout,

This is what starlight is all about.
