A combination of many words expressing interest in a topic,
Utilising beautiful flowery writing that is so hypnotic.
Or with scary dark themes that send shivers down your spine,
Perhaps it's sweet bubbly writing that makes you feel just fine.
Sometimes with a rhythm and an obvious subject,
Without any rhyming or structure that makes you reflect.
Poetry comes in many lengths and each with a different style,
But reading and writing poems are quite worthwhile.
Poetry gives people the freedom of self-expression,
It gives people a voice that's free from oppression.
Or poetry can be simply used for one's pleasure and fun,
Anything can be portrayed in poetry but when all is said and done...
Poetry allows anyone to write about anything!
