10! Anticipating all of the new things we get to do next year,
9! Pop a bottle of drink cause you know that the end is near!
8! Gather 'round with a group of faithful friends and cheer,
7! And we can hope and pray to wash away the fear!
6! Sing a happy song or two with a trusted peer,
5! Light up tons of fireworks and line them up along the pier!
4! Write a resolution or two to find the right way to steer,
3! We're ready to ring in the new year 'cause we've got all of our gear!
2! With you on New Year's Eve everything is so crystal clear,
1! Because you should know that I love you dear!
Then boom!
The fireworks explode into giant colourful puffs in the night sky,
It's so beautiful, just like you, I think I might just cry!
But I know that in this new year that everything will be fine,
Because at least this year, I can call you mine!
