Many say that telling the truth is always better than telling a lie,
Thought I opt to disagree, sometimes it is good, that I can't deny.
But sometimes the truth may hurt, damage and break,
When you're faced with the truth, it might be too much to take.
So sometimes a little white lie can work here and there,
You just feel obligated to say "That looks good!" to whatever she wears.
Sometimes it is right to tell the truth and admit it,
Like when you have to admit that you were wrong after throwing a fit.
The truth may have to be made into a lie is someone disagrees,
In a confession where the other disagrees so you say it's a joke and the truth flees.
Those often leave with permanent conflicting thoughts and emotions,
One side of you tells you to tell truth while forward the other side notions.
However, we must remember that lies should only be used in the most desperate of times,
Like when a friend finds it odd that your sentences rhyme.
But when what you say and do makes the truth wait longer,
Telling the truth will almost always make you better and stronger.
