What is a rule? What defines what a rule can or cannot be,
Is it a threatening statement or a simple sentence, what are the possibilities?
Because what defines a rule can have serious consequences on lives,
Like is there a rule that prohibits you from owning too many knives?
But sometimes I wonder, is there a difference between a law and a rule,
As a law is created by the government but a rule can be made by any fool.
Do all rules have outcomes if they are followed or broken,
And does something count as a rule if it isn't written or spoken?
A limit is needed when it comes to creating rules so punishments are fair,
Or if a rule only applies to a few people then do people really care?!
We all have many questions and queries about rules and regulations,
Are some rules only followed by people with wild imaginations?
Though we should always follow rules as long as they are reasonable and humane,
Otherwise, that means that the enforcer is most likely insane!
