Chapter 15 Game-night

"Huh? Who is it?" I muttered. "You fell asleep, again." Jenny said as she nudged me. "Sorry." I said as I yawned. "History is boring. Especially when you have lived through it." I said leaning on the chair. "Whoa!" I said as my chair slipped and I fell to the ground. "Ow!" I said holding my head. The whole classroom started to laugh. "Is there something you want to tell us Mr. Rodolfo?" Mrs. Peterson asked me. "Nope. Not at all." I said as I got up.
"Jeez!" I said scratching my head. "That hurt." I muttered. "You shouldn't have leaned on the chair." Jenny told me. "Why?" I asked her. "Because someone pulled it back." She said annoyed. "That explains a lot." I said.
"Mind if I sit here?" Brad asked. "Nope." I said. "Brought y'all some food." Brad said opening his lunch bag. "A sandwich for Rodolfo, an oil can for Jenny, and some jelly for me." Brad said giving us a tiny bag. "Thanks." I said munching the sandwich. "No problem." Brad said. "Can today get any worse?" I muttered. Suddenly Sheldon ran up to us. "Guys!" He exclaimed. "What?" I asked annoyed. "Do you know there will be a comic convention tonight?!" Sheldon asked. "No." I said ironically. "You have got to come!" Sheldon said. "I'm not really interested in comics." Brad said. "I got a better idea." I said. "What is your 'brilliant' idea then?" Jenny asked jokingly. "I'll invite y'all to my house, and we play some Reach." I said. "Reach?" Brad asked. "Oh yeah. I forgot that." I said. "What's 'Reach'?" Jenny asked. "It's a first person shooter game for Xbox 360." I explained. "You have an Xbox 360?!" Sheldon asked. "Yup." I said. "Then we've got a plan!" Brad said. "See you at eight." Jenny said as she flew through the roof. "What's her deal?" Sheldon asked. "I guess something was spotted somewhere..." Brad said. "She does that all the time." Brad continued.
"Move that there... Put this here..." I was muttering as I moved stuff. "What are you doing?" Jenny asked creeping up behind me. "Gah!" I yelled as I turned around in shock. "Don't sneak up on me." I said as I turned again. "Whoops."" Jenny giggled. "Need help?" Jenny asked. "I think I've got this covered." I said as I connected the Xbox 360. "I think we will be in a pretty tight spot." Jenny said looking at the console. I stopped moving and I stood pondering for a second. "You're right!" I exclaimed as my aura activated and three more screens appeared. "Whoa!" Jenny exclaimed. "Now we all have a screen of our own." I said nodding approvingly.
"Wait. Isn't Reach the game you kill aliens?" Jenny asked "Yup." I said. "And aren't those aliens just like the ones we saw on the ship?" Jenny asked again. "Yes." I said. "Then how come you didn't recognize them?" Jenny asked. "I only play 'Custom Game' and 'Matchmaking'." I explained. "Sure." Jenny said rolling her eyes. "Now that you mention it. I'm going to play as a Sangheili warrior." I said as I changed my Spartan for an Elite.
I woke up suddenly when I heard a noise. "Wha?" I asked myself. "I'll get it!" Jenny said running to the door. I sat up and scratched my head. "Oh right!" I thought as I remembered the plan. "Hi!" I heard Brad's voice from the entrance. "Come in!" I heard Jenny's voice. "Now to get this show started!" I muttered as I turned on all the screens and controllers.
"Watch out!" I said mockingly as I shot Brad with my Sniper. "No fair!" Brad said laughing. "How come you are the one that's winning?" Sheldon asked as he shot with his Assault Rifle. "Because I am sniping y'all." I said as I sniped Sheldon. "Hey!" Sheldon said as I laughed. "Don't worry guys. I'm right behind him." Jenny said as I saw her grin. "Shouldn't have said that." I told her as my character jumped back and I pushed the 'punch' button. "Hey!" Jenny said as I performed an 'assassination'. "Ha ha!" I laughed I walked out of my sniping spot. "Gotcha!" Brad said as my character died. "How?!" I asked him jokingly. "Found a Sniper just like you did." Brad said proudly. "Mind if I crash your party?" I heard Tony's voice in my speakers. "Not at all!" I said as I pummeled Tony's Spartan. "Hey!" Tony said through the speakers. "Whoopsie." I said laughing. "Don't ya start without me!" I heard a familiar voice. "And me!" Another one said. "Have you ever heard of 'Ladies First'?" Yet another voice said. "Welcome guys!" I said through the microphone. "Hi Rodolfo!" The three voices said at the same time as four tiny windows opened in my screen. "Wazzup man?!" A man with Brown hair and Black eyes said. "Carlos! How's life treatin' ya?" I asked him. "Pretty good, but it's kind hard to get a job..." Carlos said. "Ya ain't going to introduce me?" Another man said. "Hi Emilio. How are you?" I asked him. "Pretty good. I've been traveling the world, no biggie." Emilio said. Emilio has Black hair and Brown eyes. "Typical." A lady said. She has a scar just like mine, black hair and blue eyes. "How come they always get to speak first Lucy?" I asked the woman. "They don't seem to understand the whole 'Ladies First' concept." Lucy said. "I know, right?" Jenny said. "Who are the younglings?" Lucy asked as the four tiny windows appeared in the other screens. "She is Jenny, the one with orange hair is Brad, and the one Tony just killed is Sheldon." I explained as I laughed. "Pleased to meet you!" Jenny, Brad and Sheldon said. "They're some friends from school." I explained. "You go to school?! Get outta here!" Emilio said. "Still guiding humanity?" Carlos asked. "Yup." I said as I shot Emilio. "Hey! I was about to get Lucy!" Emilio moaned. "Thanks Rodolfo!" Lucy said as she grinned. "No prob... Hey!" I said as Jenny assassinated me. "Karma!" Jenny laughed. "Surprise!" Brad said as he drove out in a Wraith and ran over both Tony and Carlos. "Whoa!" Carlos said as Tony groaned. "This was supposed to be a man to man fight!" Tony said. "Not anymore!" Brad laughed. "Wait! Where is Sheldon?" Lucy asked. We all stood silent and suddenly we all started to die one by one. "What?" Tony said. "How?" Emilio asked. "Who?" Lucy asked. I started to laugh when Sheldon sniped me. "Uh guys. What's a killing frenzy?" Sheldon asked and we all laughed.
