Chloe's POV.
By the time we returned to the police station, we were still early and had at least 5 minutes until we had to meet with the others. The car ride back was pretty much silent, although this time it wasn't an awkward silence, it was comfortable.
Once Reid put the car in park, he turned to face me. "We should probably wait until after this case is over to tell the team about this, right?" He asked.
Tell them about what? That we kissed? "Or it could just be our little secret." I smirked, not wanting to make a big deal out of what happened between us. I mean, a kiss isn't exactly something that you announce to your whole team. If we decided to date, that'd be a different story.
"Yeah, you're right." He nodded his head in agreement. After a few seconds of silence went by, he started talking again, "So, once we get back home, how about I take you on a date?"
"I'd like that." I said, trying extremely hard not to grin from ear to ear.
After meeting with the others in the police station, Reid and I found out that JJ and Morgan brought a suspect into custody. Well, he was most likely one of the unsubs considering they found a limb in his car.
"Agent Campbell and Rossi, I'd like the two of you to interview the suspect. His name is Frank Cowles. JJ is talking to his wife other there." Hotch said to us as he pointed to an area in the corner of the station where JJ was speaking with a woman with brown hair who seemed to be in hysterics.
I eyed Rossi before we began to walk into the interview room. Reid, Morgan, and two officers were watching us through the two-way mirror. The unsub looked like an average man, probably in his late 40's or 50's with graying hair.
There was only one chair across from Cowles, so Rossi motioned for me to sit down. Once I did, I waited for the unsub to speak.
After a minute or two, I realized that he wasn't going to say anything. "Fine, it's your right to remain silent. We'll just keep you company until your transportation arrives." I said, leaning back in my chair and picking up the report that was left for us on the table.
"You know, I bet if we talked to this guy's neighbors, they'd all say the exact same thing. Friendly guy, maybe a little insecure." Rossi said, looking the unsub right in the eye.
"A little too average." I replied, now looking through the report. "Hmm, what was it that made him snap and kill three people? You'd think that his fantasies would be enough to keep him satisfied." I added, causing the unsub to finally look up.
"Wait, you think I killed those people?" He asked, causing Rossi and I to look at eachother in confusion. "No, no, no. I just bought their limbs."
Hearing him say that made me shudder, although I had to stay and continue getting information out of him, no matter how disturbing he was. "From who?" Rossi asked, furrowing his thick brows. "I, uh-, I don't know." Cowles replied, sounding nervous.
"You're gonna have to do better than that, Frank." I said, becoming impatient. "There's this guy, I met him in a chat room. He's the one that you're looking for." He replied almost immediately.
"And where can we find him?" I asked.
"I don't know. He always delivers to me in different places."
Rossi and I stayed silent, letting him know that we wanted him to continue. "I'd uh- I'd drive to wherever he told me to. Rest stops, abandoned places really. I'd leave the cash and take whatever he left there."
"We're done here." Rossi said before him and I exited the room. "Wait- am I free to go?" Cowles asked. "Not quite." I told him and then shut the door, leaving him there in confusion.
After a few minutes of working up a profile, we decided to deliver it. We had a pretty good idea of who the unsub was, now all we needed to do was find him before he could kill another person for their body parts.
"Hey, Reid." I said as I walked over to him, although he didn't seem to hear me. "Earth to Spencer." I said, waving my hand infront of his face.
"Oh, sorry. I was just thinking." He finally replied, giving me a small smile. "We're delivering the profile now." I informed him, reciprocating a smile. "Already?" He asked, seeming surprised considering we had only arrived at the police station a few hours ago. I nodded my head before holding out my hand to help him up from the chair that he was sitting in. Reid smiled and grabbed hold of my hand before I pulled him up. Although he was now standing up, he kept holding on. I put my free hand ontop of his and squeezed gently before someone's voice immediately made us let go.
"Are you guys coming?" Morgan asked, peeking his head through the door. "Yeah, we'll be right out." Reid said. I nodded my head, hoping that I wasn't completely blushing.
