I will admit that overall I haven't been keeping up with this series very well, so I'm sorry about that, but with the Crisis raging on, I thought it was time to revive this series. Since Part 1 was the intro, I decided that this was going to be a taste of what the original purpose of the hot takes was and go into the Crisis, Batwoman, and a dc related spotlight soon. Also, for simplicity's sake, I will talk about at least seven Arrowverse characters or concepts that I feel like deserved better also if I get anything wrong note that I've watched the seasons of the show except for a couple of episodes of the shows last season and some this season and I haven't been able to see Black Lightning and Supergirl's season. Finally, bad characters aren't characters that have wasted potential Examples: thinker and Cicada so that I won't talk about it.

Emiko: Might as well start with the last real main villain in Arrow. Season 7 overall was the best season since five but was the most unfocused. Between Diaz and Dante, she barely had any time to develop as the main villain. While she thought she was a decent main villain, Emiko's "morals" are questionable at best. She wasn't able to kill Felicity's unborn child but was also fully willing to kill an entire city of innocent people when she is just trying to kill Oliver and his family. Combine that with a weird message in which Oliver decided not to kill for once and forced redemption, and I just gave up trying to like this character. If she had more screen time, I bet she could have worked, but I guess we will never know.

Eddie Thawne: Honestly, I never understood the hate for Eddie. I get that he was getting in the way of our wincest ship, but Eddie was a decent guy. He was willing to sidestep his plans for Iris, was a great partner to Joe and liked Barry for the most part. Hell, he was even going to marry her before Eobard said he was destined to die without meaning anything or getting the girl. His death was honestly one of the saddest in the show for me, and while I did enjoy it, I had to ask, was it worth it? At this point, Eobard has been killed twice and is still kicking like there's no tomorrow. I'm fine with a character death as long as it meant something, but it doesn't seem like it has.

Wally: Okay, on paper, having a show called the Flash, it does make sense to introduce Kid Flash. But in hindsight, having a guy who can do everything Barry can do but worse was a bad idea. His intro in season 2 was really good, but season 3 is where the character got screwy. Between his obsession with speed nearly hurting the team, his tricking of getting into the speed force and the fact half of the season was spent having Wally be the hero only to have him get brutalized at the last second pretty much solidified that they had nothing they could think of with this character. By the time season 4 and 5 rolled around, he was nonexistent and kind of useless. And while he was handled beautifully in Legends of Tomorrow Keiynan Lonsdale did say he wanted to leave, but unlike Colton Hayes (Roy Harper), he was written off rather unceremoniously. Though as much as I want this character back, I think that it's for the best that he's gone, at least for now.

Suicide Squad: Out of literally every new addition that The arrowverse season I still have no fucking clue why they never made a suicide squad. Well, okay, I know why but we don't talk about that. Though seriously, at the very least, they definitely shouldn't have shot themselves in the foot by canceling the team eventually. A suicide squad show literally would be perfect for the Cw. It reuses villains from the other shows without the effort of making new ones; you get characters making dumb decisions not out of stupidity but out of fear for their lives for added drama and what better way to handle any actor disputes than by literally having the most revolving door cast you can get!? And I think it's even worse when you realize that the group came back in season 7 only for it to lead nowhere.

Ragman: While not my particular favorite superhero Ragman but from what I've seen from an old Batman and the Brave and the Bold comic, he is interesting. With Arrow season 5 trying to be a fresh start for the series, the idea of a new team arrow isn't necessarily a bad idea since having a member with powers, and mystical qualities would have some potential for some interesting stories. But as soon as it's figured out that Ragman was in the city that Felicity nuked and had almost no lasting psychological damage, Ragman became part of Felicity's arc. Eventually, she reveals that she is the woman that is partially responsible for the deaths of everyone he knows and loves. Rory somehow manages to forgive her, and a couple of episodes later, he pretty much gets written out of the show. Don't get me wrong they way he got written out of the show was awesome, but I kind of find it ashamed that the writers never sought to bring him back for literally anything and speaking of temporary teammates.

Team Flash (Season 3): Like seemingly every season of the Flash, it was only natural for the season to include even more members that know Barry's secret identity. But seemingly unlike any season before it, the cast in hindsight seemed so temporary. Between Tracy and Julian, we had more direct assistance to Barry and an engineer who added a little more life to the then dreary cast. I'm not saying that these guys were going to be great but considering Julian left unceremonial and Tracy rightfully left after Barry decided to talk down on a guy who killed an innocent man who had killed an innocent man and saved the love of your life. Sure they wouldn't have added much but a lot more than some of the other members of the team.

Timeline: I swear to god a few things have ever been so gloriously inconsistent as the show's timeline. Between Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow's flash-forwards, and Supergirl Legion of Superheroes. We have officially reached peak bs. Sometimes changing the timeline is good; sometimes it's bad sometimes it can take seconds to get erased other times minutes and probably a thousand other things I can't even think. I honestly feel sorry for how fucked and stretched it is. Please, someone, call help.
