Have you ever felt like you were madly in love with your other half? Well, given my main demographic, probably not, but still, the question stands. Because if you want a definitive answer, then you'll have to see me shine a light on this eerie story: Stalker x Stalker
Artist
This time we are returning to Princess Hinghoi for a final time.
Summary
Junko and Yukio are two incredible young yandere who are hopelessly in love with each other! With their love so eternal and perfect that everyone else's lives are increasingly temporary.
Characters
Junko: When it comes to the concept of love, Junko has a pretty odd description of it. Out of the 2, she is arguably the most aggressive and least social. Though this isn't a surprise, given her father is also a possessive killer in his own right.
Yukio: A young boy who is equally obsessive, Yukio is willing to kill anyone who gets in the way of her happiness.
Overview
Overall this series is pretty okay; the jokes write themselves for most chapters, but the series mixes up the formula with other recurring characters and future storylines involving Yukio's parents. This puts me to talk about my feelings on the yandere genre. While I do kind of like the psycho or delinquent characters in media (Jotaro in JJBA and Karma in Assassination Classroom comes to mind), I never really liked it when people state they want a yandere as a partner unironically.
Of course, the less grave interpretations are fine with me, but direr interpretations kind of make me want to retch a bit. I've never had a girlfriend myself, but I know that love is not all hot sex and rainbows. It takes commitment, consent, and communication, all things that a yandere lack. So it honestly kind of worries me how much media can subvert abusive and messed-up relationships, and I hope that most of you will be able to tell the difference.
Epilogue
That's pretty much all I have to say on Stalker x Stalker. I think it's a fun webtoon with some severe intensity to it that will grow with time. And with that out of the way, I'll be talking about the final webtoon that will close off MMM!
