Those Eyes

-Chapter 10-

#Takahashi

★Kieffer's POV★

    

      NA GISING ako ng wala sa oras. Madaling araw pa lang sabi ng orasan. Bumangon ako sa kama at nilibot ng tingin ang buong kwarto. And I saw her on her study table. Her laptop still open while she's already asleep.

        

Dito na pala ako na tulog dahil gusto ko siyang bantayan. Ang kulit nga niya kanina. Tanong ng tanong kung bakit gusto ko dito sa condo niya matulog. Syempre nagdahilan lang ako at ang nonsense pa.  Di kalaona'y pumayag naman siya. Sa sofa nga dapat ako sa sala matutulog. Pero dahil sadyang may pagkapilyo din ako, na una akong pumasok dito sa kwarto niya at nagpanggap agad na tulog ng pumasok siya. Hanggang sa hindi ko na lang namalayang nakatulog na pala ako.Napailing na lang ako sa sarili ng mahuli ko ang sarili kong nakatitig na pala sa kanya habang nakangiti. Psh, pakiramdam ko tuloy para na akong baliw. Aish. Tumayo na ako at lumapit sa kanya. Maingat at dahan dahan ko siyang binuhat saka inilapag sa kama. Inayos ko pa ang higa niya saka siya kinumutan. I sigh heavily. I really don't know why I can't take off my eyes on her? Damn. This is so not me. Na iiling na naman akong lumapit sa study table niya para e off ang loptop. But then, something caught my attention to stop from what I am suppose to do.

'Takahashi clan? Why is she?'

        
And a realization hit me. I look at her, she's peacefully sleeping. I turn my gaze on the laptop and brows what she was searching. Halos magsalubong na ang mga kilay ko sa mga nababasa ko. It was the Takahashi's history. May mga lumang lumang files and pictures pa na nakalagay. I brows more. Until I saw a new file.

"Eyes."   I whisper.

    

I click the eyes file. And was surprise of what I've just read.

From the Takahashi's first generation, to second, third, fourth, fifth and until now. The clan still have the curse.
The first generation, almost all of Takahashi have the cursed eye. In the second generation, the numbers of it grow and grow but not until the third generation came.
The elders, gathered all the family members, except those Takahashi who have the cursed eyes.
The elders decided to illiminate the children who have the curse. And the clan agreed. Because they don't want to suffer any longer.

And the game begins there. From the third generation.
When a child was born with those eyes. The elders will get the baby. And when the child turns five, they immediately transport it to an island.
The childrens will do the game, until no one win.
And from then on, the game started.
Every generation.

But not until today. The clan thought that they already get rid the curse. What they doesn't know, that one of the clan hides the child. The only child on this day generation who have the eyes. When the elder know it, they threatened the family. If they didn't do anything so the child will live their house. They well suffer in a rough punishment.

I know that one day. Your going to hack our system.
The Takahashi clan system.
I know that you are capable of anything our dear grandchild. Us elders know what the curse can made you.

If you live longer than we thought. You will be the winner. But once we got you. You're a loser already. So better ready yourself.
We will hunt you down. 'Til no more curse comes in our clan.

    

    

Na pa isip ako. Hack? What the. Bakit naman gagawin iyon ni Grae? Lots and lots of questions enter my mind. But one thing's for sure. Hindi gagawin ni Grae ang isang bagay na alam niyang ikapapahamak niya. O ako lang iyon? Aish. I close her laptop and lay on the sofa. Still wandering about it.

★Grae's POV★

           KINABIKASAN na gising akong nakahiga sa kama. The last thing I remember was me in front of my laptop. Bumangon na ako at pumasok ng banyo and do my thing. Minutes later, I'm on my way to school. Wala na rin si Kieffer sa condo. Maaga segurong umuwi.Now that I hacked the system for the second time. The elders will surely make their move now. And ang mas malala ay mismong mga Takahashi na ang uutusan ng mga iyon. Hindi ang mga tauhan nila. And all I need to do was to live longer. I need to last so I can win the game.

         

Lunch break came. I hurriedly went to the rooftop. Ayo ko munang makisalamuha sa kahit na sino sa baba. Lalo na kay Hanna. I need to get away from everyone dahil madadamay lang sila. Kahit pa binubully lang naman ako ng mga iyon. Well, except for Kieffers gang. Ng mag ring ang bell, bumalik na ako sa classroom. Nakinig sa discussion. It really is boring. Iyong ibang discussion ay paulit-ulit lang naman. Malapit na din kasi ang examination kaya review na lang ang ginagawa ng mga lectures.

          ANOTHER day passed and the next morning was our examination already. Busy ako kakareview sa mga notes ko. Mag-aalas-onse na ng gabi. I sigh as I finish reviewing my notes at exactly twelve midnight. Inayos ko muna lahat ng dadalhin ko bukas saka ako sumampa sa kama. Close my eyes and drift my thought away as I fall asleep.

        

Morning came. I lazily got up my bed. Kulang ako sa tulog but not enough to get me out of control. Na sa tamang pag-iisip pa naman ako. Hindi katulad dati. Psh. Nakaupo lang ako at naghintay sa lec. Ilang minuto pa ang lumipas bago pumasok ang unang lecturer namin at nagbigay ng exam.It went well, may mga kaklase nga lang akong hindi mapakali. Baka raw mali ang sagot nila and lots of complaints. Tumayo na ako at lumabas ng classroom. Class hours already ended few seconds. Himala nga at hindi nangulit si Kieffer. Mas mabuti na din iyon kesa sa nakabuntot na naman siya ngayon sa'kin. Palabas na ako nang gate ng mamataan ko ang dalawang pigura ng tao. They're wearing their usual uniform. Black and red, Takahashi uniform.

'So they're starting the real game huh.'

I smirk at that thought. Pasimple akong nagtago sa mga nakaparadang kotse at walang ingay na tinungo ang motor ko.

"Let's race T's."
