London business trip

It was a brand new day today. All were tired from the party last night so they woke up a littler later than usual. The sound of her cell phone ringing broke Drishti's sleep. Without opening her eyes, she picked up her phone while lying in bed and spoke,

Drishti: this is Drishti speaking, who is this?

A lady's voice can be heard through the phone, she said,

Lady: mam, this is your PA, Kajol, sorry to disturb your sleep mam but we have a problem...

Drishti realizing who it was, she woke up with a jerk and said,

Drishti: Kajol, what happened? Are you ok?

Kajol: I am ok mam, but...

Drishti: but what? Tell me what's the matter?

Kajol: mam, the important meeting we were supposed to hold in a week in London with the number one company is now postponed to tomorrow. We have to leave immediately.

Drishti: what, how could they do something like that without sending us a notice in advance. Why didn't you inform me about it before?

Kajol: I am sorry mam, but the CEO's PA contacted me an hour ago. He said that the CEO had another business to take care of next week, that's why they gave us an option to whether do the meeting tomorrow or not have a meeting at all. Since then, I have been trying to reach you.

Drishti: sorry due to the party last night, I overslept. No we must hold the meeting, so let's do this Kajol, you pack all the required documents and I will get ready and meet you at the airport.

Kajol: ok mam, and happy birthday once again mam.

Drishti: Thank you and now get going

Drishti hung up the phone and went and got ready in few minutes and packed her suitcase as well. She went downstairs and saw everyone in the breakfast table. While not everyone, she didn't see Divya and thought she was still asleep. She didn't want to disturb her sleep, so she didn't wake her up.

Drishti: good morning everyone.

Priya saw her suitcase and said,

Priya: daughter, why do you have a suitcase with you? Are you going somewhere?

Drishti: yes momma, I just received a call from Kajol that my meeting was postponed to tomorrow and I must leave for London now.

Priya: but your already tired, must you go? Can't it wait?

Before Drishti could reply, Prem said,

Prem: let her go, Priya. Our daughter knows what's she's doing. She will be fine and we have a house and bodyguards there for her protection, so don't worry.

Drishti: thank you dadda, and sorry momma but I must go, it's a meeting with the number one company in the world.

Then they all had breakfast and Drishti left for airport where Kajol was waiting for her. Kajol has already booked all the first class seats and discussed their presentation tactics. Soon they landed in Heathrow airport and her driver and few bodyguards came to pick her up and then she reached her house.

It was already night and after preparing the presentation for the meeting, Drishti had dinner with Kajol and went to bed. Never knew time would pass so fast, as if it's leading her to a new world; a world that she's oblivious of. The morning came in a hurry and Drishti woke up early and went to have breakfast. The servants had already prepared her food in the breakfast table. Just then her phone rang and it was Divya calling.

Divya: my jaan, what are you doing? I have been trying to reach you for a while. Why don't you keep you phone next to you? Why did you leave me without saying goodbye? Do you know how angry I was? How could you not inform me?

Drishti: so sorry my jaan. It was an emergency and you were sleeping so I didn't wake you up. Also I just woke up, you know the time difference between London and Delhi. That's why I didn't see your calls. Now don't be mad, I will see you in few days and will bring your favorite Cadbury chocolate.

Divya: ok fine, I forgave you. Don't forget to get my chocolate.

Divya's happiness could be heard even through the phone when Drishti told her about her favorite chocolate brand. After speaking to Divya, Drishti spoke to her parents and ate breakfast and left for the meeting.
