Today was the most beautiful and equally a difficult day for Rakshit. He had to compose himself and bring out his inner actor as if he is acting for a role that will decide his life here on out. He couldn't become emotional nor could he reveal himself as he thought it was only right to tell Drishti the truth first. Also because the less they knew, the better it was for them, yet his heart won over his mind and decided to tell her, but he still couldn't bring himself to do it. He couldn't bring himself to endanger the sole person who's the reason his heart beats.

Drishti was not in a good state either as she wasn't able to comprehend what was actually happening here. As for her dad, while he's still in a shock but somehow at the lost moment, Shikhar came in and saved the day. More like saved his father from killing himself with these thoughts that occupied his mind.

Shikhar had gone to meet Divya earlier to discuss about something important and after chatting for a while, he went straight home, but he noticed that Rakshit didn't come home. He tried to contact him, however, no one picked up the phone. But he knew where Rakshit would be even at this late hour, he immediately took his car and went over to the office. The moment he entered, he saw the situation where Prem called Rakshit by one of the many aliases that he lived with and looking at Rakshit's face, he knew he had to get involved.

Shikhar's POV

I walked over and said, "I can explain that." And the moment I spoke, all 6 eyes were turned over to my voice. I can see bhai was eyeing me not to say anything. But to control the situation, I had to say something even if it's entirely not true. I said directing it to Drishti's father, "Sir, you may have confused my brother for our father, Mr. Rakshit Mehra. People usually confuse the two because of of their uncanny resemblance."

Drishti's father took a minute than got up and had a relieved look on his face as he said, "of course, that makes sense. I mean it's not possible for someone to look the same for over 20 years, but a son could look like his father. But wait a minute, why do you both have different last names." Dang this man is too clever. Why didn't I think of that? Now what the hell am I supposed to say that this man here is my father/brother and he doesn't age. I looked over at bhai, and he had a look that clearly means I am dead. But I somehow used my eyes to tell him to help me after all I am saving his a**.

Having no other choice, bhai had to intervene before things got out of hand. He came over to my side and said, "I sort of happened unplanned so our mother didn't pick a name for me and after I was born, she didn't like any other name so she named me after my father. But it got complicated when I began working and to not confuse my business partners and employees, I decided to go by the surname, Shergill, but my official name is Rakshit Mehra just like my father." Feeling relieved from whatever the bull*** he just made up, bhai signed.

Bhabi's father took the crap bhai said without a second thought. And although bhabi wasn't entirely convinced by bhai's words, she didn't say anything. But the next words that came out of Mr. Khanna's mouth left us perplexed. He said while holding onto bhai's hands, "I am thankful to your father, Mr. Mehra for saving the lives that matters the most to me and for everything I am today. My wife and I have been looking for him for all these years and when I finally found him, I cannot contain my happiness and my wife will be just as pleased to meet him as I am. If you don't mind son, please let us meet your father. We can make an appointment if need be." I knew her father was a businessman, but damn man, you could be a detective solving unknown cases.

Looking at bhai frozen and lost for words, it was mine time to shine more. After all, bhabi's father had valid questions and although I have lied enough, I couldn't bring myself to say that my father was dead while in reality he was standing in front of us. He was everything to me and I couldn't lie to him like that. So I held bhai's hand to gesture him to let me speak. "Sure Mr. Khanna, I will speak to my father and inform you when he's free to meet you."

And that's how the meeting of Mr. Mehra and the Khannas was introduced. The day was saved for sure, but it definitely led to more complications for Rakshit or did it.
