Maeve's POV

“Is it just me o parang lumamig?” Zephyr asked, chuckling slightly.

I glance at Grim again, and his expression remains the same.

“Um,” I awkwardly started and was about to say something nang mag-salita si Zephyr.

“Oh, I almost forgot, for you.” he said at inabot sakin yung bouquet ng pulang rosas.

I smiled,
“Thank you, they're beautiful. Lagay ko muna sa vase to ah? So hintayin mo na lang ako dyan? It won't be five minutes.”

“Sure.” he said and I noticed na dinala nya pala ang kotse nya.

I cast a glance at Grim and he seem to get the signal.
Pumasok ako ulit sa apartment and got the unused vase na nasa isa sa mga cupboard, him following me.

“Anong problema?” Tanong ko sakanya as I was putting water inside the vase.

“Wala.” Tipid na sagot nya.

I closed the faucet and faced him.
“Hindi pwedeng wala, di mo nakita pati si Zephyr nararamdaman ka.”

He shrugged and I sighed walking back to the living room at inilagay ang mga rosas sa vase before putting it on the shelf.

“Wag mong sabihing nagseselos ka?” I asked teasingly.

I'm expecting na mainis sya but instead he just tilted his head na parang nag-iisip.
“Nagse-selos?”

Tumaas ang isa sa mga kilay ko,
“Whoa, don't tell me talagang nagse-selos ka?”

He just gaze at my face to the point na medyo hindi na kumportable.
“Siguro?”

“Um Grim, that can't be diba? We're two different being--”

“Nagbibiro lang ako.” he said at sawakas ngumiti na rin sya, but somehow parang hindi sya nagbibiro at parang hindi tunay ang ngiti nya.

“Thank god naman,” I said a little relieved kahit hindi ko sya masyadong pinaniniwalaan.

He can't be serious, but his actions.. Maybe there's another reason.

“Bantayan mo tong bahay ah?” I said and pat his shoulder,
“Male-late ako ng uwi.”

“Ingat ka.”

“You too.”

After kong makalabas ng bahay at i-lock ang gate.
(Nakakapag-teleport naman si Grim kung gusto nyang lumabas.) I sighed. Well that was awkward.

Zephyr waved at me habaag nakasandal sa itim nyang kotse, he opened the door for me at sumakay ako.
Nung sumakay na sya and after we both did our seatbelts, tumingin sya sakin.

“You ready?” he asked at tumango ako.

“Ready.”

He started the car a small smile appearing on his lips,
“Have I told you that you look beautiful tonight?”

“So tonight lang?” I asked teasing him.

His eyes widened slightly,
“It's not like that, I mean maganda ka naman araw-araw--”

I stopped him before he started rambling again.
“Binibiro lang kita.” I said with a soft laugh.

He breathed out a sigh of relief and smiled sheepishly at me.
“Sorry.”

“Geez, bakit ka nagpapa-sorry. Tara na.”

And then we were off.

For the whole ride nagku-kwentuhan lang kami.
I was having fun, like this is the first time na naging ganto ako kasaya sa mga naging past relationships ko.
