Maeve's POV
It has been days? Weeks? I'm not sure.. Me and Felicity just kept walking aimlessly in this almost unending temple. As much as I hate to say it but it seems like Felicity is the only thing here that keeps my sanity from breaking.
I'm not really talkative, hell I can even survive a few months without socializing, but in this case there was nothing that keeps my boredom at bay.
No gadgets, no chores, nothing. The only thing I could do is here is to walk without getting tired.
I feel nothing.
No pain, no tiredness, no hunger.. It seems like I'm numb, the only thing that I could feel was the temperature na sakto lang.
Even proper hygiene wasn't needed in this world. Walang kahit anong lumalabas sa katawan namin, I don't even need to pee, not even sweat.
There was absolutely nothing here but souls and the pillars. Hindi ko na nga matandaan ang itsura ko dahil walang salamin dito.
Me and Felicity were just talking about random things, we're not friends, mind you. There's still that bickering but I grew to dislike her less.
Meron namang mababait na mga kaluluwa rito and we tried approaching some but after a few minute of conversation ay aalis na sila.
"I hope alam ni Zephyr kung pano alagaan si Hunter." I sighed,
"Yung gagamba mo?" Felicity asked at tumango ako,
"Ryder and Morticia loved Zephyr and he loves them too, and isa si Zephyr sa mga nakakapasok sa apartment ko, so I'm sure na inaalagaan nya sila habang wala ako, naga-alala lang ako kay Hunter.." I said at umupo sa sahig, umupo din sya.
"Ako din, naga-aalala.." she mumbled.
"Kay Hunter?"
"G-ga, hinde." she said and sighed,
"Sa pamilya ko, ako ang breadwinner nila, that's why di ko alam kung ano ang mangyayari if ever mawala ako, ni hindi ko nga alam kung saan sila kumukuha ng pagkain ngayon eh." she said and sighed.
I noticed the tears that welled up in the corner of her eyes.
So pwede ka palang umiyak dito.
She then turn to look at me,
"Ikaw ba?"
"Napano ako?" I asked and she glared at me making me also sigh,
"Wala akong pamilya.. Except dun sa tita ko at sa pinsan ko."
"Pano ka nabuo kung wala kang parents? Tsaka pano ka nagkatita tsaka pinsan?" Pamimilosopo nya, but I'm not in the mood para sabayan sya.
"Tinakwil na nila ako, long ago." I said, suddenly remembering the email na pinadala sakin ng psychiatrist ako, a few months? Ago.
"Why? May ginawa ka sigurong masama, I wouldn't blame them." She said. I want to tell her that it's none of her business, but remembered as soon as we woke up from the coma we're in ay makakalimutan nya din lahat ng to, as I would.
"Nung bata pa ako, lagi kong sinusuod ang gusto ng parents ko, I was a goody two shoes, but there are times na nag-rebelde ako, which I regretted of course since I know they just want the best for me, but as I grew as an adult, nasasakal nako and I couldn't take it anymore, sure they let me have a little fun.. But I was stuck and fino-force nila ako to be something I'm not.. And they want me to do something that I don't want to do. Something I couldn't--" Napalunok ako and shook my head,
Why am I telling her this?
Oo hindi nya din naman matatandaan, but.. Basta.
Tumayo ako which took her a little by surprise,
"Story time over. Maghanap na lang tayo ng ibang gagawin."
"Gaya ng?" she asked, still sitting on the floor.
"I don't know, explore?" I asked and she rolled her eyes.
"Ilang araw na yata tayong naglalakad dito at puro ganto lang nakikita natin." she said and I grimaced.
"Sheesh," I said,
"I don't want to do this pero kung makakakita pa ako ng isang pillar talagang mababaliw nako."
"What are you planning to do?" Felicity asked pero di ko sya pinansin.
I look around and thankfully wala namang kaluluwa in this part of the temple,
"GRIM REAPER!"
Hindi ko man alam kung gagana to, hopefully it will.
"GRIM REAPER!" I shouted, this time a bit louder, my voice only echoed.
"Maeve, what the hell are you doing?" Narinig kong tanong ni Felicity.
"GRIM REA--"
"Ano?!" Biglang sumulpot si Grim sa harapan ko, making me take a few step back.
He looks a little irritated.
"Oh..wow." I said.
"Ano nga?" he asked and I smiled sheepishly.
"So, antagal na naming palakad-lakad ni Felicity dito and I believe naligaw na kami.. Could you please take us back dun sa garden?" I said. Well, it's better to be surrounded by nature than plain old pillars.
"At bakit ko naman gagawin yun?" he asked with one eyebrow raised.
I rolled my eyes,
"Galit ka pa ba? Nag-sorry nako diba?"
"Hindi mababalik ng sorry mo ang sakit na nadarama ko," he said.
"Geez, ang drama mo." sabi ko,
"Ano pa bang kailangan mo nag-sorry nako?"
A smile appeared on his lips, and by how he looks parang di ko magugustuhan kung anong susunod nyang sasabihin.
"Halikan mo ako."
Nanlaki mata ko and gaze at him with disbelief,
He couldn't possibly said that!
"Ano?"
"Halikan mo ako." he repeated, this time he was smirking.
"Bakit takot ka?"
"Grim.." I said, my tone becoming serious.
"Don't tell me.."
"Pano kung sabihin kung Oo?" he said na para bang alam na nya ang sasabihin ko,
"Pano kung sabihin ko na mahal pa rin kita?"
Wait, wait, wait.
This is going fast.. Too fast.
I couldn't utter a word. I didn't expect na bigla na lang nyang sasabihin yun out of no where.. Like, wala man lang warning?
Bigla bigla?
"Grim I--"
"Ang arte mo, just kiss him already para maka-alis na tayo rito!" Felicity said before pushing me to him.
I stumbled and fell to his arms, and as I looked up at him, I felt ice cold lips against mine.
