Maeve's POV
“Nakakainip no?” Felicity asked habang nakatingin sakin na paulit-ulit sinasawsaw ang kamay ko sa pond na para bang slow website to na nire-refresh ko.
I was just hoping na baka "sira" or nag-stop lang yung pond and by the time na gumana ulit ito ay may papasok ulit.. Someone na matagal ko ng hinihintay.
Don't get me wrong, I was very happy ng makita ko ang pamilya ko but I just feel sad and confused as to why hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin nya ako pinupuntahan.
Did he lose hope? Is he thinking na mamamatay na lang ba ako?
I know we're not yet considered a couple and that we just went to a few dates but manliligaw ko sya right? He should hold on just like what my family are doing right now. I know it's selfish of me pero nararamdaman ko talaga na gigising din ako. But when?
“Hey, I was talking to you.” Felicity snapped at tumingin ako sakanya.
“W-What?” I asked and took out my soaking wet hand out of the water then faced her.
“Tanong ko kung naiinip ka ba? Kanina mo pa kasi pinaglalaruan yan eh. ” she said motioning to the pond kung saan nakikita ko yung sarili ko sa isang hospital room na nakahiga lang surrounded by equipments and things na sa hospital mo lang makikita.
“A little.” I replied, not wanting to tell her about the silly assumption I had na nagla-lag lang yung pond.
I'm not sure kung ilang oras na ang nakalipas simula nang mapunta kami rito, but good thing is I didn't care anymore.
Nasanay nako, boredom means nothing to me.
Ever so often Grim would not be here. Collecting souls perhaps or doing the thing the Grim Reaper do.
And as if on cue, he suddenly appeared right next to us, not looking amused at all.
He just ignored me and Felicity na something he rarely does.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Felicity.
“Napano yun?” tanong ko.
“Abah, kasama mo ako dito pano ko malalaman?” pamimilosopo nya and I just rolled my eyes.
“Siguro dapat kausapin mo sya.”she said at tinuro ko ang sarili ko.
“Me? No way.” I said at umiling-iling.
“Oh c'mon girl,” she then suddenly stopped then smiled,
“Sige ako na lang.” she said at tumayo para puntahan si Grim.
Out of curiousity, tumayo ako at sinundan sya na hindi nya alam.
And after a while I saw them sitting next to each other sa may damuhan.
I hid behind a large tree, trying to listen to their conversation.
“--Kaluluwa?” I heard Felicity's voice asked.
“Oo natakasan ako ng kaluluwa. Kinuha ng isang demonyo.” I heard him say.
“Demonyo? Pwede ba yun?” Tanong ni Felicity.
“Oo, kung pumayag o binenta na nya ang kaluluwa nya sakanya.” Grim said again.
“Oh em gee, that is so creepy.” Maarteng sabi ni Felicity. I mimicked how she said it quietly and snorted.
“Alam mo ba kung anong ginagawa ko when I'm in a bad mood?” Felicity asked once again.
“Ano?”
“I go to the nearest club and I dance my heart out.” I heard her giggle.
“Gusto mong sumayaw?”
“Sige.” Grim said na nakapag-pataas ng kilay ko.
“Maeve, wag ka ng magtago dyan, samahan mo kami.” I heard Grim said at nanlaki ang mga mata ko.
Sh-t, nakalimutan ko na alam nya pala lahat ng nangyayari dito.
I timidly walk out of my hiding spot and saw Felicity na nakangiti na para bang nang-aasar. Like she knew na susunod ako.
“Come near us!” Felicity said at lumapit ako sakanila.
“Di ako marunong sumayaw.” I said to her pero ngumiti lang sya.
“I know kaya tutur-- Grim, what are you doing?!” Felicity asked shocked.
Kahit ako nabigla sa ginawa ni Grim, bigla nyang hinawakan ang kaliwang side ng bewang ko sa isang kamay, then yung isa kong kamay nilagay nya sa isa sa mga shoulders nya while yung dalawang natitirang kamay namin ay magkahawak.
“Sasayaw.” Grim said.
“That's not the kind of dance na sinasabi ko!” Felicity said,
“Ano yun lagi nyo na lang akong gagawing third wheel?”
“Kailangan namin ng musika. Kumanta ka, maganda naman boses mo.” Grim said and she stared at him incredulously.
“Nasisiraan ka na ba?” Felicity asked.
“Sige si Maeve papagkantahin mo para umulan dito.” Grim said making me glare at him.
Grabe naman to. Hindi naman ganun kapangit boses ko ah.
“Fine. Anong kakantahin ko?” she asked.
“Kahit ano. Basta yung bagay sa pormal na sayaw.”
She just sighed and kahit na walang music, she started singing.

Me and Grim started waltzing, thankfully natatandaan ko pa kung paano. I was even surprise na marunong din pala si Grim.
Felicity's voice was so beautiful na para bang meron talaga kaming kasamang singer dito. But when I look at her, her face was scrunched up in a grumpy way na para bang napipilitan lang sya, na para bang hindi sakanya nagmumula yung maamong boses.
With folded arms, nagkatinginan kami and she rolled her eyes. I couldn't help it, so binelatan ko sya making her glare at me deepen.

She kept on singing at nabigla na lang ako when Grim suddenly lifted me and spun me around.
I gaze at him, he gaze at me.
I know kaluluwa na lang ako, but what is this that I feel?
I have no body, yet it seems like I could feel my heartbeat. Loud and fast.
Could it be possible? Sa tagal na oras na nandito ako.
Every flashbacks of our conversations here started to fill my head.
How I get to know him in a deeper level.
I could understand him..
This couldn't be possible.
Zephyr.
He put me down, very gently and we continued to waltz.

I could see his face leaning down. It's getting nearer and nearer.
I closed my eyes.
But then I saw Zephyr's face, he was sitting on the sofa in my house. He smiled as soon as he saw me,
“You look gorgeous, like always.” he said.
My eyes snapped open, pushing Grim away.
Tears started to cloud my vision as I ran.
Hindi pwede to, hindi kami pwede. Si Zephyr, sakanya lang dapat.
Si Zephyr..
I ran to the pond at napaupo ako dun, I gaze at myself again. Still the same.
Pinilit kong umisip ng iba, anything para maalis si Grim sa isip ko.
How the hell am I going to face him now.
As I think of any possible excuses nakita kong bumukas ang pinto sa pinto ng hospital room kung asan ang katawan ko.
And then he entered.
