Her Silent Cries

Chapter 4

I got back home to a quiet house and soft wails coming from my moms room
Me:Mom(yelling)
But there was still utter silence and the soft wails stopped I opened the bedroom door to my mom rooms and there stood right before my eyes my mom covered in blood and some of the blood had even dried up her eyes bloodshot red and her once brownish orangish eyes turned into black orbs screaming for help I was a child I'm confused I didn't know what was going on I just froze staring at this horrific sight infront of my eyes is this my mom the woman who helped me get ready for school just this morning and as I was about to rush to her side and pick up the helpless woman staring right at me whom I addressed as my mom.My dad walked out of their in-suite bathroom holding his knuckles and by the looks of things it seems as if his just come back from washing his hands because I can still see the small traces of blood even his ring had a blood stain thoughts rushed through my head as I asked myself is my dad responsible for this but why?
He loved her?
They were so happy just this morning or was it all just a facade ?
I couldn't feel I couldn't react I just felt a strong arm holding my arm and dragging me out of the room realization kicked in as I felt my body fall onto the cold hard tiles and the bedroom door shut right in front of my face I stood up as soon as I heard my moms screams again was it my fault that she was being beaten again did I witness something that I wasn't supposed to
I tried pushing the door open but my dad had locked it
Me:Where are my brothers!!! ( I yell in frustration at myself looking in all the bedrooms)
I stand in confusion tears threatening to fall from my eyes but a voice spoke to me and said go next door and get help now is not the time to break down she needs you I ran as fast as my legs could carry me and jumped the fence since I was experienced because growing up with guys had it's perks. I don't bother knocking I just run inside the house because that lady was very friendly with my mom and whenever no one was around and mom had to leave she would leave me with her I rushed in causing everyone quite a fright
Them:Yini!!(yelling)
Me:(Stuttering)Umama blood ubaba
Moms friend whom we referred to as gogo quickly stood up as if she knew what was happening before I could even finish what I was saying she called out for her husband and elder son and they rushed out the door going over to my house to try and stop my dad the last words I heard was her telling her grandson/my male bestfriend to pour me warm water and sugar to calm me down
I fell to the ground my hands shaking and my mind flashing back to the look on my moms face the blood my dad I mean I was his little princess he never let anyone harm me but today he roughly grabbed my arm and threw me on the ground...My Hero ..How could he but he loves mom ...No mom should've made him mad that's why he did this it's moms fault yes it's her fault!! I defended him I refused to believe it and I loved him
Me:No not my dad i silently whispered under my breath
My chest was closing in and soon I'm left in only a vest and tights that I usually wore under my school uniform I'm soon snapped out of my thoughts when gogo comes in telling me to come out it's okay now
I walk out still in denial as to what that man I call my father did to my mom
Walking out my eyes are blinded with blue lights as I slowly open them I see him in handcuffs where are they taking him
Me:Papa(yelling)
He just gave me a cold look and entered the police van
That was it.I hit my breaking point!! I was furious at the victim which was my mom I didn't talk to her at all because she took away my hero she took away my happiness she took away my father the only time I would talk to her is when I'd be asking her when dads coming home and she would always say soon
Soon turned into a week and a week turned into a month that was her soon!!I was failing to cope and faking a smile at school made it worse I needed my dad
