"So your telling me that you didn't kill her because she stopped you. Which is disappointing because I clearly asked you to eliminate her. But second of all she wants to invite you to a ball!?" I shouted at a certain Nephew of mine who looked emotionless as always.
"Exactly. She invited me for some reason. She plans to send out an invite for me so I can officially attend." He replied with honesty.
"The guards won't let you in though because your the enemy Levi!?" I started to raise my voice. How can anyone be so stupid?
"It's a masquerade ball Kenny." He replied in a harsh tone that Kenny knew not to challenge.
"Ah.. I see.. Then maybe you could attend and see what the princess wants."
"Maybe..."
Elena's POV
"Father I'm holding a masquerade ball in a few days and I'm sending out invites today." I announced. He hates it when I do things like this.l but frequently I couldn't care less. I want this war to end and this is what I intend to do at this event. "Why the sudden need for a ball? Especially a masquerade one?" He asked.
"I want to get an opportunity to speak to people who I normally would speak to. I could say whatever I want and people wouldn't know who it was who said it." I said. I was being completely honest because it was pointless to lie. But I wouldn't announce who I was taking.
"Very well. Who are you planning on inviting?" He asked. There was the question. I sighed in my head and cane up with half a lie.
"I'm inviting the kingdoms closest to ours. Not the Ackermans." I said with a sweet smile in my face. He still had a stiff face but when I mentioned that the Ackermans weren't coming his expression soon dropped.
"You can have the ball but I'm putting up high security around the perimeter so that nobody can get in our out without an invite." He says. I nodded my head in agreement. Bowed in respect and then exited the room gracefully. I hate being a princess. I thought.
I went to my office and started working on the guest list. I added all of the kingdoms. But somehow I had to make sure the Ackermans invitation got to them without anyone finding out. That could then get reported back to my Father and then cause problems.
I know...
I'll personally go there myself. I quickly finished all of the resuming paperwork that I have and then get changed into an outfit which is suited to ride my horse in.

(Her outfit matches the colour of the kingdoms crest)
I snuck to the stables and took out my chestnut horse called Brooklyn. I tacked her up with her saddle and reins and fed her a carrot. Once she had ate it I jumped onto her back using the wooden step by the stable door and I gave her a little kick to make her walk forward.
