Petra's POV

I sent the letter to Elena to give her a warning that I wouldn't go easy on her in battle. Since I now know that she's the divine maiden she may use her power which I know will put me at a great disadvantage.

The other agents are doing their jobs but not finding out any information. It seems like the Ackerman kingdom have been keeping information about Levi a secret. From what I have gathered we know that they plan on taking Levi back by force. Meaning that they intend to bring a small group of assassins or they will bring an army.

However they could've changed the plan and do something different. Like a sneak attack! Then I'm not looking someone else could come in and take me out without me knowing. Hence why I don't plan on keeping my guard down.

I finished my cleaning whilst Levi was sleeping so I decided to wake him up.

"My prince I've cleaned up for you and you've been sleeping for an hour it's time for you to wake up" he groaned in protest and kept his eyes shut. Ignoring my request.

"Oh look I see Kenny!" I said in an enthusiastic tone. His eyes shut open and looked around the room for any signs of his uncle.

"You bitch. I hope you die in hell." He spat, his voiced laced with venom as his chilled expression instantly was replaced with a look of anger and sadness in his eyes. I frowned knowing that I was making him upset.

"You know I could've said something worse but I don't want to put you through a wave of emotions which will make you feel sad. Anyway we know that Elena is going to be on her way with an army or a small group which I'm guessing will be assassins so I need to keep setting up my trap." I smirked at his reaction when his brows furrowed together in frustration.

"I'll say this again you don't stand a chance against her. She'll crush you like she's crushed all of her enemies in the past. You'll be no other. She will defeat you in battle and save me from your wicked ways brat." My whole body tensed. Did he really just say that?

"That's enough coming from you Ackerman. I'll let you know that I'm fully prepared to fight Elena Richardson. Divine maiden, strongest assassin in the country. So what? I'll stab my sword through her stomach and swirl it around. Let her feel pain and the best thing is, I'll do it in front of you. You'll see her as weak as her body trembles on the floor as her blood pours out of her fresh wound created by me and only me. My sword piercing through her skin. You will remember that day when I defeat Elena. Not the other way around. I'll make her pay for taking you away from me my prince. I can guarantee you that" I walked away ignoring his angry cries. I smirked knowing that I was going to kill her.

Elena's POV

It was now morning and I had packed up all of my things for a long trip of searching again for today. I changed my outfit into something that draws less attention and will let me move around easier in.

I got on Moon and set off riding. Lillith already knows where Levi is so it shouldn't take too long to get to him. Right now she thinks that I'm coming with a small group or an army or so I presume. I don't intend on using my powers with her so I plan on taking her out with Lillith and my skills of assassination. I gently kicked Moon giving her the signal to gallop.

"I can't allow her to keep him for that long... I must hurry. Lillith its about four hours away correct?" I looked down in the satchel that was attached to the side of Moons saddle. The white python hissed in agreement. I focused my attention onto the surroundings in front of me.

The white python kept hissing every now and then whenever I asked her a question. After a few hours of travelling upon the horizon I saw a small abandoned cottage. There was smoke coming out of the chimney meaning that someone was inside.

"Lillith is this the place?" Luckily we were still in the trees so we were hidden if anyone were to look out of the windows.

She hissed in agreement. I sighed in relief knowing that Levi was there. I slid off of the saddle and took Lillith out of the sachem I placed her on the ground. She looked at me like she was awaiting a command. I smirked at her obedience.

"Lillith go to the cottage and find Levi. Sneak inside without being seen. I need to know if there is some sort of trap and how many people are there. Can you do that for me?" The snake hissed and quickly got to work. I couldn't see what was happening because if how far away we were. However I knew that if I got closer I could hear what they were saying.

I got back on Moon and stayed close to the trees I gave her a little kick and she set off walking. It was silent meaning that anyone could see or hear me. I shudder at the sudden cold breeze. I kept looking around me to se me if anyone was following me. Luckily nobody was.

I made it to a spot where I could see into a window. Even though we were still far away. I took out my binoculars and grabbed ahold of the reins signalling Moon to stop. I adjusted the lens so that I could see out of it clearly.

Once the lens had cleared I saw someone tied up in a chair. I narrowed my eyes wondering who it actually was. I saw some raven coloured hair. After I saw the hair I instantly knew that it was Levi. I smiled knowing that I had found him.

"I'll be get you out of there soon. I promise"

Levi's POV

The definition of bored is not what I'm experiencing right now. It's more like I would rather be doing paperwork than be sat here tied down to a chair. The only thing I could do was just insult the whore that kidnapped me whenever she opened her mouth or looked at me.

She was currently not in the room so I couldn't do anything apart from look around at the dark old walls. I sighed wondering what Elena had in plan to rescue me. If she's smart enough she would've took this time to come and get me. However it seems like I'm hours away from the castle so it could take her a while to even find me.

Suddenly I heard a hiss.

My whipped around in the direction of the strange sound trying to find the source. My eyes landed on a large white snake looking directly into my eyes whilst it hung out of the window. The snake slowly slithered inside of the room and started to look around. I stared at it confused.

Normally these guys are meant to kill you when hungry. So I wonder why the snake isn't going to attack me...

After a few minutes the snake had looked around the whole complex. I could see that it was scanning the place. But I didn't know what for. That's when it hit me... this snake belongs to Elena. Rumours about the ice assassin and her large white python who would hang around her neck wherever she goes. Nobody knows that the ice assassin is the princess. She always did a good job at keeping her identity a secret and she was always good at getting inside information in hard situations. This is why she told her snake to search around to see what she can do.

"Hey snake. Have you been here before?" It looked around and me and hissed. Which I'm guessing is a yes.

"Have you brought Elena here?" Another hiss was made.

"Is Elena here right now?" The snake made another hiss. Before I could ask anymore questions the snake went back out of the window as Petra walked through the door. I have to act normal around Petra so that she won't find out that Elena's here...

"I thought you would've got a little hungry so I brought you some bread and water for you to have. Don't want you dying on me now do I?" She chuckled at the end bit but I gave her a deadpanned look. She frowned and brought the bread up to my mouth. I took a bite and looked away as I ate the hard bread.

I'll be out of here soon and then you will be taken down Petra.
