Chapter 42 We Need To Talk

Sun walks back home to see his mom watching some late night show, "hey mom what are you watching", mom responds with, "I'm just watching some late pokemon trainer show", as Meowth curled into a ball next to moms lap. Sun then walks to his room and goes to sleep, in the morning the sun light was bright on his face, "what happened", lycanroc licks his face, "stop it", sun said as he pushes his lycanroc playfully, "morning sun", moon said joyfully, sun rolls his eyes and kisses her forehead. Mom cooks them breakfast, "so moon what going on in school", mom says as she eats, moon shrugs and says, "I don't really know I'm usually working on pokemon tips and training", as eevee sits under the table, hoping for some bacon to fall off the table. Moon leaves for school, mom holds suns wrist and says, "sun we need to talk about......your father", sun was surprised, as he didn't know much about his dad, then mom shows sun the picture of his dad.

*FLASHBACK* "many years ago, me and your father met after a concert, backstage me and him would chat and have a good time with each other, I would always give him back stage passes and tickets, until one day he asked me to marry him, of course I said yes an dafter that, 4 years later I had you and dusk, your dad couldn't have been more then happy". Sun was amazed by the story his mom was telling him, "so why you gets broke up". Mom had some tears in her eyes, "he was very busy and I had a change to move to some place better, but your grandpa wanted your dad to stay and tend to the farm and family business". Sun looked down and thought, "is that why me and dusk barely even knew about each other till recently". Mom resumes, "I gave dusk to your father and kept you because you were easy to take care off, once we moved to alola I missed him a lot but your grandma helped me out a lot", "where is grandma", sun askes and mom responds, "she died before your were born", sun toke it back. "Soon you grew up, you were such a cute baby, and then I had moon 2 years later", sun remembers that day like it was yesterday, "I remember how you and moon got along the moment you held her", mom said blushing with happiness. "So here are now sun, you have a girlfriend and your the alolan champion", sun realizes what he has been missing and kisses his mom. "So where is his tombstone", sun askes and mom responds, "its been moved to alola", suns eyes lid up, "so it's here", mom nods and says, "its in akala island". Sun races out the door and gets on the boat, "so its at the cemetery", once sun arrived at the dock he had to get though the cave, which was easy since lycanroc defended him, at the cemetery.

Sun approaches his fathers grave, "here lies pokemon breeder gray, 1980-2018", sun looks down as he falls to his knees, holding his face while crying, lycanroc howls at the loss of it's trainers father. Sun then stops crying to here a voice, "sun are you ok", he turns around to see mellow holding a basket of berries, sun wipes the tears from his eyes, "nothing I'm just greveing over some tombstone", mellow giggles and says, "sun i know you, thats your dad isn't it", sun looks down and says, "yeah it's my dad", mellow hands sun a berry, as sun grabs it mellow then says, "I heard about his death", sun looked at her, as he hands the berry to lycanroc. "Wait you know, tell me how my father die", "they said someone murdered him by I don't know how some shadow man", sun remembers the man he say back at the league, then looks at you reader, "remember the shadow figure I saw like along time ago", mellow holds Suns hand, "come with me sun". Mellow takes sun to the kitchen, "hungry", mellow askes sweetly, sun blushes and says, "kinda", she then serves them both some sweet fried food curry.

Mellow and sun ate together, but then notices his wrist, "sun whats with the bandages", sun then looks over on his wrist and glups his food, "well I got some kinda of sickness but its not contagious", mellow sighs with relief. As they finished sun paided mellow but then she says, "sun you don't have to", sun then says, "I insist", has he opens her hand and gives her the pokedollars, she then gently kisses his cheek, sun blushes then leaves, "Lycanroc I wonder why I have problems with my relationships", lycanroc shrugs like, "I don't know I'm just a pokemon". Sun pets his head then heads to the dock, "yes I'll like to go to ula ula island", then they took the boat, at ula ula island, "hey dusk the top of the league is looking good", "hey sun, thanks the team worked on this all day long", sun then askes, "dusk I know about our dad and such", dusk looks down and says, "wait who told you", "mom told me and now I know his name", dusk ushers sun to the boat. "Sun you don't need to worry about that ok", sun tries to explain but then dusk sends the boat off, as the sun setted and the night sky slowly settled in, sun looks go at the pinkish orange sky.

"I wonder why dusk doesn't want to know about my dad, why is he hiding it from me, its like he doesn't want me to know a certain......", lycanroc nuzzles on his trainers waist. Sun feels a tingling on his wrist, then the voice came back and said, "oh sun I have a feeling we're going to meet each other very very soon", it said with a toothy grin, sun gets back to reality, "all I want to do is relax and not worry about anything else", as the boat made its way to mele make island.
