It was midnight when I was notified for a mission.
Wanda was lay next to me soundly asleep, we'd never meant to have feelings for each other. It all happened when one night she had a nightmare about her brother and I comforted her, we ended up spending night after night together; talking, watching movies and eventually I kissed Wanda. I really liked her, I hadn't felt this way since Peggy and all I wanted to do was tell Bucky but Wanda had wanted to keep it quiet for a while.
"Wan" I gently shook her shoulder.
"Wan, we have a mission sweetheart" I said into her ear.
She shifted around so she could see me, she placed a gentle kiss on my lips before sitting up to get dressed-I got dressed with her. We made sure no one was outside so Wanda could sneak back to her room.
I went to Nat's room knowing she'd be able to wake everyone.
"Wakey Wakey Widow, mission" I raised my voice, she immediately awoke and was already getting ready.
"Can you wake everyone else up? I need to get to the briefing room" I told her.
She nodded without question and I was reminded of her long serving loyalty, we'd been fighting together for a long time and she'd helped me get my best friend back.
"Everything okay Steve?" Aradia's voice startled me as I walked through the lounge.
She was stood near the kitchen with a coffee in her hands.
"We have a mission, and you're coming so suit up!" I said, smiling at her joy that she could come.
For a moment I wondered why she was in the lounge at midnight-I know she didn't sleep but she always would stay in her room regardless. Maybe she'd been restless but it was unusual for her and I made a mental note to ask her about it later.
I jogged to the briefing room where Tony was already stood looking bored. He was already scanning the files on the mission, I sighed wondering what we were in for this time.
"Hydra base, simple recon" Tony informed me seeming bored.
The others made their way into the briefing room, suited and ready.
I eyed Aradia's new suit and she smiled proudly at me, I understood why she was so proud to be a part of us: she wasn't doing bad.
Bucky was smiling at her with so much love in his eyes it was impossible to miss, when was he gonna tell her he liked her? Aradia's suit was the same as Natasha's except she had two slits at the back and a velvet like cloak.
"Nice suit, Stark" Clint nudged Aradia with a smirk.
"Retractable cloak too" Tony voiced like he was the smartest man to ever live.
We watched as Aradia pressed her shoulder and the cloak retracted so all that was left of it was the hood.
"I know, I'm only the best brother" Tony said smugly.
