Beli's POV
"Every time I hear about your parents it's always something bad, but this is even worse" Rhett says after I tell him everything about the hospital incident.
"And I cant believe they actually thought you were lying to them about the abuse" he closes his laptop and slides it in his bag.
"Father and mother always find a way" I sigh.
He slides his computer chair back, "come here" he pats his lap.
I stand up and push my chair in. I make myself comfy on Rhett's lap as were face to face with each other, literally.
His forehead was against mine with our nose's touching. He slowly places his lips on mine as he kisses me gently a few times.
"If you ever need to just runaway from all of this mess, my arms are open" he says softly which creates my heart to warm up.
"Thank you, Rhett" I hug him, "really"
He hugs me back. My phone then vibrates in my pocket. I pull it out and saw that mother is calling me.
"Hello?" I say as I pick up the call.
"Where are you? I've been here for a minute now and you're still not here!" She shouts.
"I'm on my way"
"Hurry up" she hangs up.
"I have to go" I hop off of his lap.
"I heard" he chuckles.
I put my bag on and slide my phone in my pocket.
"I'll walk you out since I'm also going home"
"Okay" I smile.
