Beli's POV
"So he liked you, thinks you're a slut and is now punishing you for it? Wow" Queenie says as I finish telling her what happened during the detention.
"Yeah. I don't want to point any fingers but it was mostly your fault, if you hadn't been so high you wouldn't of said what you said and everything would've been just fine" I say.
"Well, I'm sorry" she sasses clearly not meaning it.
"Why're you so obsessed with him?" She looks at me.
"He was actually the best teacher and now he's just..." I don't make eye contact, instead, I finish off writing any notes on the board.
"It's more than that, isn't it? Don't you think he's a lil too old? Plus it's not professional for a teacher to date a student" she says quietly.
I finally finish writing, I drop my blue pen on the table and look at her, I don't say anything.
"You usually don't have crushes but when you do, it's the wrong person. Why are they always older than you? You have daddy issues?" She mocks me with the last bit.
"N-no" I shake my head.
"You so do! How embarrassing" she giggles.
I frown. I can't be the only one here with daddy issues. It's not my fault anyways and it's not like I can actually do something about it.
I look at my fingers and start to fiddle around with them.
"Listen..." she pulls my head up to look at her, "I don't necessarily mean to mock you, it's just..." she takes a deep breath before saying, "I love you Beli, I just don't want you to date the wrong guy nor do I want want you to get your heart broken" she gives me a reassuring smile.
I smile back. She then looks at Mr McLaughlin, "he might be a good for you but dating a teacher is risky" she looks back at me.
Just as I was about to say something, I get interrupted.
"Alright guys, are you done with the notes so we can actually watch the rest of the movie?" Mr McLaughlin asks.
"Yeah, just do it" I say since nobody says anything.
"Are you sure?" He looks around, no one was writing. He then puts the screen down and turns the projector on.
