Beli's POV
I stand up from my seat and was about to do what was told until we hear a knock at the door.
I take two steps away from Rhett, he stands up and travels to the door.
"I'm not interrupting anything am I?" A woman asks.
"Uh, no, Ms Kameāloha was just about to leave" Rhett looks at me and gave me a signal to leave.
"Oh, um, right..." I walk past him and make my way out of the office.
Rhett's POV
As soon as Beli was nowhere to be seen, I let Jessie in and close the door behind her.
"What do you need?" I ask as I face her.
"I just wanted to see how you are going" she smiles.
"I'm going great" I shrug, "what about you? How was your first day of teaching?"
"The kids are smart asses but they entertain me" she nods.
"Right, What do you teach again?" I sit down at my desk. She sits at where Beli was at before.
"I'm a sub but I also teach year 10 foundation maths"
I nod. I look down and noticed that Beli has left her bag in here. I open my mouth to say something about it but Jessie's lips interrupts me.
"Oh! Sorry, I just need to grab my bag. I should've knocked" A voice says from behind.
I stand up and take a few steps away from Jessie, "no problem" I smile at Beli.
Jessie hands over her bag, "here you go"
"Thank you" Beli mutters as she swings her bag on. She looks at me and slightly shakes her head before leaving the office, closing the door behind her.
"What was that?" I ask Jessie.
"What was what?"
"The kiss" I walk to the door and open it, ready to kick her out.
"I miss you"
