we arrived outside Nina's office and Billie helped my carry the paintings up to the floor, where her office was. "Nina is more of a mum to me than my real mum ever was," I say

"So I'm basically meeting the parent," she smiles.

"well you met my Dad and that went... well, just how I expected it," I let out a sigh as Billie gives me a sad smile, and the elevator door opens.

we walk over the Nina's Office and I knock on the door, and she opens it, her face lighting up. "Rory," she engulfs me in a hug, "Honey its been too long, you need to come to see me more often," she says and I give her a smile, "I know, and I will I promise, I'm just so busy now because well," I glance at Billie and Nina gives her a smile.

"Billie, Nice to meet you," she says and Billie replies with a greeting, then Nina turns back to me, "she's a keeper, I haven't seen you look this happy... well ever," she turns around and walk into her office were me and Billie follow.

"Here," I say handing over the artwork.

"Oooh yes, I have a guy who owns an amazing art gallery, and he saw your stuff and thought it would be perfect," she sets my work to the side. "You have to come over for dinner at some point," she says and I nod. I then turn to leave and Billie stops me "Hey I will be out in a second, I'm just gonna ask her a question," she says and I nod, assuming it was about whatever she has been planning.

After a couple of minutes, she walked out a smile plastered on her face. "I won't ask questions, but I better find out soon," I joke, nudging her shoulder.

"don't worry, you won't have to wait long at all," she gives me a smirk, then changes the subject. "wanna go for a walk?" I ask and Billie nods.

"Hey why don't we go over there," she looks up at the Hollywood sign, and I smile.

"Sure, we will need to drive through,"

"We aren't too far from home," she raises an eyebrow and I give her a smile, knowing exactly what she is talking about.

"let's take the dogde," I say knowing that what she was hinting at.

*time skip*

We arrive at Billie's and she runs inside to grab the keys, as I talk to Maggie. "Come on," she says like a little kid, excited to drive her car. Most of the time there is no point, parking is a pain on the streets, and ubers are normally easier.

we sit down in the car, and I place two water bottles in the cup holders. "I'm sorry we don't get to do more stuff like this, that I always have to work," she says, her eyes glued to the road.

"Billie," I shake my head a little as she glances at me "we get to travel the world and have amazing opportunities that any other person wouldn't get, it's not all glamorous, but I would give up everything I have for you Billie, it's not what we're doing together, it's just being together," I look out onto the road, as we pull into a carpark. when we park, she turns to me and smiles.

we jump out of the car and start walking up the hill. "this is beautiful," I say, as I look over LA.

we follow a dusty path further and further up the hill, every now and again and I twirl around to see the city behind me become further away like I was walking further and further away from reality into me and Billie's little world.

"here," Billie props up her phone against a rock and sets the camera on a timer. she runs over to me and we laugh, like little kids.

A little while later we were sitting dangling our feet over the edge of this little cliff area, ad the sun was just beginning to set. "I wish we could sit here forever," she says as I lean my head on her shoulder.

"yea, mee too," after that we sit in comfortable silence, watching the sunset, we were having conversations without even having to talk.
