Chapter 4

Y/n POV

My eyes start to open up and I sit up, looking around the room. "How did I get in my room, and when did I change clothes?" My eyes widen and I rush to the bathroom, turning around and lifting up my t-shirt, seeing no wound on my back. "What am I going to tell Ritsuka?! I'm not human?! I guess I'll have to explain sooner or later..." I sigh, pulling my shirt down.

The second I walk out into the kitchen, I notice Lindo. He turns around and smiles. "Good morning Y/n, how did you sleep?"

"I slept fine, I just don't know how to explain my injuries, or lack of injuries to Ritsuka." I say, rubbing the back of my neck, making myself a cup of coffee/tea.

"We'll explain that later, for now, you and Ritsuka will be staying home." I spit the coffee/tea out as the words leave his mouth.

"What?! We're staying home?" I yell. "You know I can protect Ritsuka, so why can't we go to school?!"

"After yesterday, you need time to recover. Ritsuka told me that you were weak after being stabbed by a knife." Lindo says. "From your state when I saw you, I can only guess there was a poison in it, one that can only affect someone like you. Besides, even if you weren't in this state, if too many vampires or devils went after Ritsuka, you wouldn't be able to protect her."

I sit down and sulk in a chair at the table. "I wish you would at least let me go to school..."

I lie down on my bed, reading a book, when I hear a knock on my bedroom door. "Come in." I say, putting my book down.

The door opens and Lindo comes in. "Y/n, Azuna's coming over. I'll be out, so make sure Ritsuka's safe." He says and I nod, still upset that I can't leave the house.

He closes the door and I pick up the book. Five minutes after hearing the door close, I hear a crash come from outside and I run out of the house. As I put my shoes on, Ritsuka starts running out of her room. "Ritsuka, stay in here! I'll check it out."

She nods. "Be careful, ok Y/n..."

"I'll be careful, I promise." I open the door and run out of the front gate. I look around the area and saw no signs of a crash which means...

A rose is pushed into my face. I back away for a moment. "Hi." The voice of the play boy says.

"Urie, what are you doing here?!" I ask, glaring at him.

"I heard my butterfly had gotten injured, so I came to make sure you were ok." He says, my face turns a little red. It must be from the embarrassment of being weak. Yeah that's it! It can't be anything else.

"Anyway, I'd like to give Ritsuka news about her mother." I glare at the student council vice president.

"No, you can't ask her about the Grimoire again! Like I've told you, she doesn't know anything about it." I say, crossing my arms.

"Ok, how about we go back to the academy and you can tell me what you know." This offer might get me closer to the devil so I can betray them later.

"Fine, I'll go back to the academy and talk, just let me change my clothes and we can head over there." I quickly head back inside and go into my room. I change into my uniform which is the boy's uniform with a blue skirt.

I head over to the door. "Ritsuka, I'm heading out! I should be home in an hour or so!" I yell before running out of the house.

Urie leads me to the academy's green house and I stop, staring at Urie. "Why are we meeting here?" I ask him, realizing that he was planning something.
