Chapter 15

Y/n POV

Still in the nurse's office, I sit beside Lindo's bedside. Suddenly I hear a scream, Ritsuka's scream. Without a moment of hesitation, I run in the direction of the scream. When I reach Ritsuka, I see someone, a vamp, holding Ritsuka, a knife against her neck.

"It's good to see you again, Miss L/n, daughter of Maksis and keeper of the Grimoire." I glare at the vampire, staying where I am. "Won't you come with me, for the sake of your little sister here, and for the sake of that brave and foolish knight of yours."

"I'm not going anywhere with you!" I yell.

"I thought you'd say that." I watch as the vampire dug the knife into Ritsuka's neck, causing Ritsuka to wince. My eyes widen when I see a little bit of blood trickle down Ritsuka's neck. "I'd prefer not to kill her, after all, we feel love and have families too."

"You're lying! You'll kill her, even if I come with you." I let out a growl.

"Honestly, why would I need to lie to you? Oh, I see. You're used to associating with those devils. Well, unlike them, I don't need to trick you." He goes to grab an apple that had fallen to the ground. "Infact, if I wanted to, I could easily get rid of you right now, much like this apple."

He squashes the apple easily. I knew that he was right. In the state that I'm in, I couldn't fight him. I still felt weak from the blood, and knowing those exorcists, they probably dosed me with some blood while I was a sleep.

The vampire licks the juice that came from the apple. "It's quite sweet. Makes me wonder if her blood will be just as tasty."

"Fine, just let Ritsuka go and I'll come with you."

"No, Y/n... You can't go with him..." Ritsuka weakly says.

"I have to." I tell her before turning my attention back to the vampire. "Now let her go."

He gives me a wicked smile, releasing Ritsuka.

The vampire, who I had learned was named Jek, and I walked into an elevator. "You're not going to hurt Ritsuka or Lindo, and you'll return Ritsuka's mom back to them? And you're not going to go back on your word?"

"Of course. A vampire would never tell a lie because it's beneath them. I should be more worried about you going back on your, after all, you are half devil." I give him a glare.

"I wouldn't do such a thing if it protects those I care about." I state.

The two of us walk out of the elevator and into a room, one that looked like a bar. On the other side was Ritsuka's mom. I squint my eyes, noticing bite marks on her neck. "I thought you said she was safe!" I grab the collar of Jek's shirt.

"Calm down, it's nothing for you to get all upset about. We just fed on her a little. It's not like we turned her. She's still alive." I glare, but none the less, let go of his collar.

Lindo's POV

My eyes open and I shoot up, pain residing in my shoulder. I hold my shoulder and look around. I saw Ritsuka in the chair next to the bed, but no Y/n. "Ritsuka, where's Y/n?!"

"She left with that vampire..."

My eyes widen. "Ritsuka, stay here, I'm going to go get her back." I try to sit up, but fall back onto the bed, pain coursing through my body.

"Lindo! You shouldn't move. You're still hurt..." I look into Ritsuka's eyes, which are filled with worry.

"Ritsuka, I need you to take me to the student council room. As much as it pains me to say, we need their help to save Y/n."
