Coming into the darkness (Dance With Devils x reader)

Chapter 13

A/n

So, I had to make a tough decision, which by the way is confusing me quite a bit. Anyway, I had decided to make it so Ritsuka, Lindo and reader-chan stay in the exorcist building for a day longer than they originally were supposed to. But like I said, this decision will confused me while I write, and I might make some mistakes, if that's the case however, I'd like you guys to point it out to me so I can fix it as quickly as possible. Thank you.

Y/n POV

The next evening, I wake up to my door opening. I quickly sit up, seeing one of the exorcists walk in. "Miss L/n, the high priest has asked for you to come see him."

I nod before looking at the time and see it was a little past 12. Wait, how long was I out?! It was about this time last night when I woke up, so if I do the math then that means that Ritsuka's safe won't be a target for the devils or the vampires, but I also realize that tomorrow the full power of the Grimoire rests within me, and will fully awaken tomorrow night.

I get out of the bed and follow the exorcist that had come into my room.

Lindo POV

After the painful exorcism the other exorcists did on me to help with my vampire side, I head to Y/n's room to check on her. She had been out an entire day, and was currently the only one of Ritsuka and her in danger now.

When I open the door to her room and walk in, I notice that she wasn't anywhere in the room. "Y/n." I panicky say before rushing to her side.

Y/n POV

In the main room, I see a bunch of exorcists, the high priest standing on an elevated platform in between two other exorcists. "You wanted something?" I ask.

"Miss Y/n L/n, I regret to do this, as we fear that you have fallen in too deeply into the agents of darkness, we think it's best to form a ceremony to cleanse your impurity." The high priest says.

My eyes widen. "Don't you remember I'm half devil?! That will surely kill me!"

"We have thought of that, and figured a way around it." Suddenly, I was pushed down into the chair. I try to get out, but I'm still too weak from the human blood and the power I used when Azuna had died. I look at them, glaring at each of them until I see an exorcist with tools in his hands.

I let out a scream for help, and just then, someone kicks down the door. I look to see Lindo. "Lindo! Help me!" I manage to break free, probably because the exorcist were still surprised by Lindo's interruption.

I run to Lindo and hug him, holding onto him as tightly as I can. "What are you doing?!" Lindo yells out.

"Lindo, we have to protect this world. If we were to complete that mission, then we must eliminate the Grimoire and its source of power. We have already waited long enough so we didn't have to kill the other girl, but we cannot wait for this girl to lose its power. Besides, she is half devil, so we were bound to rid of her at some point anyway." The high priest explains.

"You're joking. Do you really believe the solution to this is murder?! It's not!" Lindo exclaims while holding onto me tightly. "You're all just a bunch of hypocrites!"

The high priest continues to spout jibberish about how it's only right to kill me because it will protect our world and junk. The other exorcists back the high priest up, of course adding fuel to Lindo's fire. Lindo then becomes really pissed, starting a fire and running out of the room.

On our way out, we run into Ritsuka, who questions what's going on and we tell her that we'll explain later and continue running with her right behind us.
