Chapter 17

Rem's POV

"Rem!" Mage yells as he, Urie and Shiki all run over to me. He does realize that I'm not death, right?

"Better keep it down Mage. Daddy Arlond gets grumpy when you wake him up." Why must Shiki be so creepy? Mage slaps Shiki in the back of the head. "Ow, that hurt. Do it again." As said before, why must he be so creepy?

The door large door and one of the curtains open. Ritsuka and her dhampir of a brother coming through the door and Roen coming through the curtains. All four of us give them dirty looks as they walk over to my desk.

Lindo storms up, slamming his hands on my desk. "I hate to say this, but we need your help to rescue Y/n..." He growls. "Now tell me where she is!"

"Calm down, we have no clue." Mage says

I turn my attention to Roen, who was behind Lindo. "Why are you here, Roen?"

"Are you here to beg like the dog you are? As if we'd forgive your treachery."

"Looking for Y/n? She's in Nesta's castle."

"Are you sure?! How did the vampires get her there?"

"Oh no, oh no, oh no! This is so bad, it's kind of exciting!"

Lindo, now knowing where Y/n is, decides to storm out. "Hold it." Roen stops him.

"Move it! I'm going to go get Y/n!"

"Maybe you should think this through."

"You don't understand! I promised her that I'd protect her, and I'll die trying!"

"For once I agree. We can't let those leeches have Y/n!"

"The thought is truly revolting."

"Count me in too. I won't let those vamps torture her."

"Nesta's castle will be nesting with foes. It'll most likely be the most dangerous thing you've faced. Knowing that, you would still risk your lives to save Miss Y/n?" Roen questions.

"Yeah." Everyone else says.

"And you, what will you do Rem?" Urie asks me.

"What will I do?" I repeat, looking at my chess board.

Suddenly, Roen places Y/n/Ritsuka's crown on the board. "Perhaps it's time to be honest with yourself and your feelings."

Rem's route

My mind flashes to the dance, when Y/n and I were dancing. I then place my crown onto the board. "Yes, that's the perfect checkmate."

Everyone else's Routes

My mind flashes to Y/n and what will happen to her if we don't go. "I'm with you guys. We're going to save Y/n."

Back to Everyone's Routes

"Come on then, we're wasting time."

"Wait for me!"

"You finally figured things out. How cute, being in love makes you seem human." Urie places his hand on my head. "We're old friends Rem. I have to say, I like this side of you." And with that, he leaves.

Lindo runs to me. "Please, take me with you!"

Should I? Y/n might want to see him, so I probably should take him with. "Grab on." I tell him.

He nods, turning to Ritsuka. "Ritsuka, I want you to go home. There's holy water in the kitchen, use that to protect yourself if needed." He then grabs onto my shoulder and we teleport away.

Roen's POV

I watch as Ritsuka runs out of the room before I head out.

"Y/n L/n, even I'm drawn to her charms. Infact, I have been since day one. She is impossible to resist." I go to walk to the elevator. (By the way, why is there an elevator in the student council room? That always puzzled me.) "But to have both Y/n the girl, and the Grimoire inside of her, there is simply no way to have your cake and eat it too.  It's all going as planned. I will have the Grimoire and with it, I will surely free Lord Maksis. No hard feelings."
