Coming into the darkness (Dance With Devils x reader)

Chapter 18

Y/n POV

"It's time to go." Jek says, walking into the room completely.

I glare. "Don't you know it's rude to walk in on a lady changing?"

"I'm sorry, but the girlish figure of yours isn't enough to get me excited. I'd prefer someone a little more like Marta. Lord Nesta certainly knew how to pick a fine woman." I glare at Jek some more. "My, you seem a little nervous. Don't worry, my Lord Nesta will be gentle with you." He walks over to the couch in the room. "You'll barely feel a thing, and within a minute, it will all be over."

"And by all, you mean my life, correct?"

"You are quite clever. I under estimated you."

"That's a mistake many people make, do make sure not to do it again." I say. "There is one more thing I need to do before I go. And that's-" I pull out the scissors from my dress, going to stab Jek with them. "-to avenge Azuna!"

Before the scissors make contact, however, Jek catches my wrist. "You fullish hybrid. You thought I wouldn't keep my guard up around you?!" He raises his other hand, slapping me.

I fly to the other side of the room, my cheek feeling like it was on fire. I sit up and glare at Jek, who was walking towards me. "You bastard." I spat out.

Jek kneels down, pulling me up by my hair. I let out a whimper as a result. "Be grateful your here to become one with Lord Nesta, after all, you were born for this purpose." With that, Jek drags me out of the room, to Nesta.

When we're in the throne room, I try to run off, but Nesta uses his powers to stop me, and make me follow him up a long flight of stairs. At the top of the flight of stairs is a large, roofless room, another stair case leading to another platform with a stone table at the top. I walk up the stairs and lay down on the table, ready for Nesta to drink my blood and kill me.

I mentally scream, trying to break free from the trance. Just as I'm about to give up, I hear a whistle, and a dog attacks Nesta. My trance was broken, and I look to see who had made the whistle. I cry tears of happiness to see Roen.

"Sorry to interrupt, but that girl belongs to Lord Maksis." I then remember that I'm mad at Roen and sit there for a moment trying to decide if I'd rather die by the hands of Roen and my father or Nesta. I ultimately decide to go for the better option, trying to run over to Roen.

Suddenly, Rem and Lindo appear. "Y/n! Are you hurt?!" Lindo yells out.

"Don't worry." Rem simply says.

Then Urie, Mage and Shiki all appear, and that's when I notice, they were all dressed as if they were ready for battle.

"Back off buddy!"

"How dare you lay hands on our butterfly."

"You're going to pay dearly for that one."

I continue running to them, but suddenly, I'm grabbed by Jek, who decides it would be a good idea to hold a knife to my neck. "Where do you think you're going? We were just about to eat." He lets out an absolutely wicked laugh.

With anger, my rescuers glare at Jek.

"You guy... Maybe you should finish rescuing me before you sing your feelings out to me!" I scold them.

"How disgustingly sentimental. Kill them all!" Nesta orders the other vampires. "Destroy the devils and prove our superiority once and for all!"
