Coming into the darkness (Dance With Devils x reader)

Chapter 9

Y/n POV

My eyes open up to the familarity of my room. I sit up, feeling a small bit of pain come from my back. "You shouldn't sit up yet." I hear Lindo say. I look to the side of my bed to see Lindo there.

"I knew you were the daughter of a devil, but I didn't know you were the daughter of the devil king, Maksis, or that you were working with that devil dog to capture Ritsuka." Lindo gives me a nasty look.

"If that's what you're mad about, sorry. I should have told you about who my father was. Also, don't worry, I won't be working with Roen again, not after he lied to me. He was even going to kill Ritsuka and I to get the Grimoire out of us." I say gripping onto the sheets. "From now on, my loyalty lies strictly towards Ritsuka. I won't let anything happen to her, as long as I'm alive that is."

Lindo smiles. "I'm glad to hear that. While I would have been said if I had to force you to leave, I would have done it to keep Ritsuka safe."

"Thank you for putting your trust in me after everything that has happened." I smile back.

Today was now the day of the school's festival, and Lindo had put a strict policy on Ritsuka and me in which we had to be with him or Azuna at all times. He had also put a seal on the each of us to make it harder for the devils and vampires to sniff us out.

Anyway, here we are, in our booth with Azuna while Lindo is 'hiding', keeping an eye out on us.

"Yeah, that's unsettling. I'll make him move." Asuna says, leaves the booth.

A girl comes up to us. "Y/n, someone's come to see you."

Knowing them, the student council probably showed up to kidnap us. "Ritsuka, I will be right back, I'm just going behind the booth. I'll scream for help if something happens."

"Ok, just stay safe." I nod and go to the back of the booth.

I look to see Urie. If only I had guess incorrectly. He lets out a chuckle. "Well hello there, my butterfly, aren't you just as radiant as ever."

I glare. "What do you want?"

"I'd like a date for the dance, and I instantly thought of you." He say, causing my cheeks to heat up a little.

"I'm not interested." I coldly say.

He still smiles at me and walks towards me. "There's no need to fight it, trust me. Just give into your true feelings and let me show you what I can do."

My cheeks heat up a little more. "I told you, I'm not interested!" I shove him away from me.

"Please hear me out. I know you think I manipulated you to get to the Grimoire." There's no think, you were manipulating me. I continue to glare at him until I hear two words come from his mouth. "I'm sorry." My eyes widen.

"Yeah, I'm sorry too." A familiar blonde says, pushing Urie aside. "I don't normally go around, romantically abducting girls. We found out today that the forbidden Grimoire is actually in Vienna." My eyes widen. Did Rem tell them this? But doesn't he know the truth about Ritsuka and me?!

"What?!" I pretty much yell.

"That's what Rem told us." Mage confirms my suspicions. "Be my date at the party tonight." Mage completely shoves Urie out of his way. "I mean, dancing's not really my thing, but if you're a girl who likes to move, I'll make an exception." Now he had an arm around me, and I was blushing.

I shove him away like I did Urie. "As I told Urie, I'm not interested!" Suddenly the two boys start fighting, taking their attention off of me.

I sigh in relief before someone touches my face from behind, causing me to jump and turn around to see Shiki.

"Oh my, even though you run, it makes me want you more." Great, I have three members of the student council interested in me. How could this get any worse?! "Please, say you'll accompany me this evening." Shiki moves his face closer to mine. "We'll follow where temptation leads us as the romantic swaying seduces us deeper to places we've never seen before."

Suddenly, his facial expressions change. "Hold on, your entoxicating aroma seems weaker today." Shit! I've been found out!

Suddenly all three of them complain about the lack of my scent and surround me, sniffing me. Just as I felt the most embarrassed, Azuna grabs me, dragging me behind her and holding her cross infront of her. "Back off you sick pervs." She throws holy water onto them.

The three devils seem annoyed by Azuna's appearance, but she stays anyway, and then we hear someone chanting an incantation. I turn to see Lindo was the one chanting.

Suddenly, a huge group of girls appear, excited to see the student council. The girls run closer, and the boys seem nervous. The group of girls split off into thirds, grabbing each of the student council boys and running off, the boys of course telling them to stop dragging them off.

"Geeze, they just don't get it." Azuna says.

"Yeah, but they weren't asking about the Grimoire, they were just telling me that Rem told them that the Grimoire was in Vienna." The two exorcists and Ritsuka seem confused, but Lindo tells me that it was probably a trick.

I sigh and look in the general direction the student council boys were dragged in.
