Y/n POV
After I had gotten dress into my dress;
Ritsuka, Azuna and I headed into the ballroom, where we were handed orange drinks.
"I'm lost. What is this king and queen stuff their talking about?" Ritsuka ask.
"Yeah, I'm curious too."
"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you. In one of the women's glasses, there's a crown, and the same goes for one of the men's." Azuna explains.
The three of us look around at the disappointed girls. "If your glass has the crown, you become the queen, the star of the entire evening. You even share a romantic dance infront of everyone."
"What if they don't know each other?" Ritsuka asks.
"Tough. It's a really old festival tradition." I look at my glass and start drinking it. "Chill Y/n, there's no way you'll get it your first year."
When I finish the drink, at the bottom of my glass is a crown. "This can't be possible, the odds are very slim! Someone's playing a trick on me, right?!" I ask Azuna, panicking. I didn't want to be center stage.
I look around and my gaze stop on the three student council members that were here already, Urie, Mage and Shiki, who were all in which drinking their grape drinks, two in which became disappointed to find out their glass was empty. My eyes widen, seeing that Mage had the other crown.
I stare at him before pinching myself to see if I was dreaming. Sadly, nothing had changed.
Anyway, where were we? Oh yeah! Azuna yelled out and the other students surrounded Mage and myself before they dragged us to the thrones.
I say there mentally panicking while we sat there. "There's no need to worry, babe, I'm here." Mage says, breaking me from my trance.
"I'm not worried! I'm just wondering how I ended up here with you..." I mutter.
That's when the music for our dance starts up. Mage sits up and walks towards me. He offers his hand to me, his cheeks tinted pink. "You wanna dance?"
I unconsciously nod and take his hand. When I realize what I've done, we're already on the dance floor, and I'm mentally panicking. Then it hits me. "Wait! Before we start, I have something to admit..." I pause, looking at him, noticing that he was giving me a weird look. "I can't dance..." My cheeks burn from embarrassment.
"That's all?" What does he mean is that all?! "In that case, just follow me lead."
I puff out my cheeks, following Mage's lead when we start dancing. Something then hits me.
"You know, I think I understand you." We look each other in the eyes. "You're a total tsundere."
He steps on my foot, and I let out a yelp. "No I'm not! And you completely ruined the moment." He complains.
"Yeah! Well you didn't have to step on my foot!" I yell, glaring before we continue dancing. A few seconds of silence pass by when I open my mouth up again. "I'm sorry."
The music stops and the two of us stop with it. Fireworks can be heard in the background, and Mage and I stare at each other for a moment.
"That was fun." I say, giving him a warm smile.
Mage's cheeks become pink again. "And you ruined the moment again."
"What moment?! We weren't having a moment!" Suddenly, I'm getting further away. I look around to see Lindo was dragging me away. "Lindo! I wasn't done talking to that idiot! Let me go!"
