Ritsuka, Azuna and I headed into the ballroom, where we were handed orange drinks.

"I'm lost. What is this king and queen stuff their talking about?" Ritsuka ask.

"Yeah, I'm curious too."

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you. In one of the women's glasses, there's a crown, and the same goes for one of the men's." Azuna explains.

The three of us look around at the disappointed girls. "If your glass has the crown, you become the queen, the star of the entire evening. You even share a romantic dance infront of everyone."

"What if they don't know each other?" Ritsuka asks.

"Tough. It's a really old festival tradition." I look at my glass and start drinking it. "Chill Y/n, there's no way you'll get it your first year."

When I finish the drink, at the bottom of my glass is nothing. I let out a sigh of relief, but then I look at Ritsuka, who had also finished her drink. My eyes widen when I see she had the crown.

I look around for who had the other crown. My eyes stop at the three student council members that were already here. They did seem to be in a hurry to finish their drinks, instead, they were slowly drinking, and when their glasses became empty, I sighed in relief. At least she wouldn't be dancing with them.

My relief was only temporary as a girl yells out that Rem had arrived. I look over at said boy, seeing that he was drinking his grape drink. My eyes widen when I see he had the other crown.

I turn to Ritsuka. "Ritsuka! Give me the crown!" I yell as Lindo yells for her to switch with someone.

But before any of us could do anything, Ritsuka and Rem were surrounded by the other students and dragged off the the thrones. I stand there for a moment before feeling a familiar presence. My eyes widen when I realize that it was Roen's presence. He was somewhere close by, watching over us.

I look other to Lindo and Azuna, who were distracted with the King and Queen situation. Maybe I should just go, and if I'm lucky, he won't do anything to me. I run out of the ballroom and into the garden.

"Roen! I know you're here!" I yell out.

"I'm glad you came, Y/n." My eyes widen.

Roen was waiting for me to come out here, and now he was right behind me. "Roen, I came out here because I need to talk about what happened the other day."

"I know, you're upset about lying to you."

I glare at him. "It's not only that, but you were planning on killing me to get the Grimoire!"

"How about a dance? Would that make things better between the two of us?"

"What you did can't be easily fixed with a dance."

"I know, however, it would be a good place to start." And with that, he grabs my hand. I got to say something, but he cuts me off. "No need to worry about lack of knowledge on dancing. I will guide you."

We stop dancing when fireworks are heard. I look up and realize, Rem and Ritsuka's dance is probably over. I pull away from Roen. "Sorry, but I should probably head back."

"Yes, that would be best. Don't want you losing that vampire's trust, correct?"

"Y/n! Where are you." I can hear Lindo yell out.

I look to the direction of Lindo's voice then back to Roen to see that he disappeared. Even if Roen betrayed me, it still hurt seeing him disappear on me like this.
