*Hey guys, this chapter is a little different from the other ones so please leave me some comments on what you think so I'll know whether or not to continue writing with this tone and characters. Thanks for reading!*

ERYK'S POV:

"Eryk," I heard a gentle voice calling from the other side of the room. "Psst, Eryk."

Ignoring who it could possibly be, I pulled the covers over my head after letting out a small groan and punching the corner of my pillow to fluff it.

"Oh my, come on Eryk. We have plans to attend to." Natalie said as she came to the side I was facing and pulled the covers off me entirely.

"What time is it?" I picked up my watch on the end-stand, but I could barely read it because I was still in the process of opening my eyes.

"Almost nine, it's time for breakfast and then we're going to get our day started. I didn't bring you all the way out here just to sleep you know."

"Yes, you're making that very obvious." I rubbed my eyes and then put my glasses on so I could start to wake up.

She was still in her pjs, which basically consisted of an old pair of shorts with our high school's logo on it and a red tank top that brightened her skin.  Her hair was in two braids on opposite sides so I had a clear view of her warming smile.

"Hey, I didn't know you wore glasses. They're cu...nice, you look really nice in them." She blushed and tried to hide her almost flirty comment.

"What's on ur agenda today?" I got out of the bed and slipped on my sweatpants and a tee. "Sorry, I should have told you I wasn't entirely dressed."

"No," she turned her head but I could tell from the back of her head that she was smiling because her cheek bones were raised. "you're fine. I'm going to get dressed so why don't you get ready and meet me down in the kitchen for some breakfast?"

"Sounds good."

She closed the door behind her on her way out and I was relieved because I was nervous that I smelled bad. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and put on some deodorant with just a quick spray of cologne that Charlie gave me. Speaking of which, I have to call Charlie and give him my morning 'check-in,' it's part of my probation.

"Hello." He answered brightly.

"Morning Charlie, just wanted to call and let you know that I'm still alive."

"Very funny Eryk, how was your night?"

I sat down on the bed and looked out at my incredible view of the lake and the surrounding woods.

"It was awesome! We went canoeing, I've never done that before and I only fell out once, then we went deer spotting in her brother's truck, and then we came back to the cabin to roast hot dogs and s'mores."

"We're you drinking?" He suddenly asked as if he were interrogating me.

"No sir, no we weren't drinking. Her brother and his girlfriend were but we weren't."

"Alright, that's good." He resorted back to his normal voice. "Alright, thank you for checking in, have fun and be careful."

"Have a good day, bye Charlie."

I put my phone back on the charger and put on a pair of worn out jeans and a red shirt, Charlie was even nice enough to lend e his Army hat so I wouldn't get a sunburn on my 'big forehead.'

"So where are your brother and his girlfriend?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen.

I wonder if she knows that I continuously say 'brothers girlfriend' because I honestly forgot her name already.
