Puck took a deep breath as he closed his bedroom door. The second the door was shut, he burst into tears - tears he didn't even realize he was holding back.

Puck cried over the newborn. His newborn. Beth was only a few days old, but she was perfect. She looked like Quinn, but had Puck's eyes and dopey little smile.

How could he let Quinn talk him into signing his rights away? Beth was their daughter, only now she wasn't.

Now neither one of them would ever see her again. Not unless she went looking for them when she was older.

Signing that piece of paper meant that Puck would never get to hear his daughter's first words or see her take her first steps. He would never get to teach Beth how to ride a bicycle or swim.

Puck wouldn't get to be the one to walk her down the aisle at her wedding someday. That job would be done by her dad, and he just signed the papers to say he wasn't her dad.

Puck wiped his eyes and took a deep breath, but the tears kept flowing. He never cried and yet, here he was, unable to keep it together for even a second.
