"Q, your phone's ringing." Puck called from the living room.
"Can you get it? I'll be right there." Quinn called back as she gently laid the baby down in the crib.
When the baby was settled in her crib, Quinn exited the nursery, slowly closing the door behind her.
"Hey." Quinn smiled as she turned around and saw Puck. "I just got her down. Are the kids in bed?"
Puck nodded slowly as he held Quinn's phone out. "That was Beth."
Quinn's smile faded as she grabbed her phone. "Noah, I-"
"Did you contact her?" Puck asked.
"I didn't contact her." Quinn answered. "But-"
"Don't lie to me." Puck said, shaking his head. "Not about this."
"I didn't contact her." Quinn repeated. "She contacted me. She called me in the beginning of October and then I met her and-"
"You met her?" Puck cut Quinn off.
"Only one time." Quinn nodded. "And I was gonna tell you, but she never told Shelby so the lawyers said to cut off contact."
"Lawyers?" Puck repeated. "You got lawyers?"
"We signed away our rights, Noah." Quinn reminded Puck. "We can't get do anything to get us into any legal trouble."
"I can't believe you didn't tell me." Puck muttered. "And you decided that you could meet her, but I couldn't."
"Noah, it's not like that." Quinn said. "I was protecting us. And the kids. If something were to happen-"
"What's gonna happen?" Puck demanded. "What do you think Beth's gonna do? Or Shelby?"
"If you wanna be mad then fine, but I'm not gonna apologize for protecting my family." Quinn stated as she looked at Puck.
"That's not what this is." Puck shook his head. "You lied to me."
"How did I lie to you?" Quinn demanded.
"You kept our daughter away from me!" Puck exclaimed. "You didn't think that maybe I wanted to meet her, too? Even just once?"
"No, I knew you'd want to, and I knew it wasn't a good idea." Quinn replied.
"Quinn, I..." Puck shrugged with defeat. "That's not up to you to decide."
"Yes it is because we have a family to worry about." Quinn argued. "It's not just us."
"You were only worried about yourself." Puck said, shaking his head. "Because if you were worried about our family, you would've talked to me about this and included me in things that involve our kids."
"I didn't tell you because you don't think with your head the way I do." Quinn stated. "You think with your heart."
Puck furrowed his eyebrow.
"You can't think rationally when it comes to Beth." Quinn went on. "And if you met her, you'd get attached and you wouldn't be able to let go."
"We don't have to let go." Puck said. "If she reached out, it means she wants to know us. She could get to know us and the kids and-"
"See?" Quinn asked. "You're thinking with your heart."
"If you don't want the kids meeting her, we'll talk about it, but you don't get to do that to me." Puck told Quinn as he snatched her phone.
"Noah." Quinn said. "What are you doing?"
"Calling Beth." Puck responded as he angrily walked away with the phone.
