Quinn scrambled around her office on Friday. She was incredibly busy, and she was running late.

Not only was she stressed from work, but she was also nervous about her date.

"Quinn, sorry to interrupt, but Finn Hudson is on the phone." Dana informed Quinn as she entered her office.

"I'll grab it. Thank you." Quinn replied.

Dana nodded and walked out, closing Quinn's door behind her.

"Hey, Finn." Quinn said when she picked up the phone.

"You're late." Finn told Quinn.

"I know." Quinn sighed. "I'm leaving work right now. Tell your friend I'm sorry. I'll be there soon."

"Don't stop home first." Finn replied. "He's been holding the table for, like, ten minutes already."

"I'll go straight there." Quinn promised. "Text me the address."

"Okay." Finn said. "Have a good time."

"Thanks."

Quinn hung up the phone and walked out of her office.

"I'm gonna get changed and then leave." Quinn informed Dana. "Go home and enjoy the weekend."

Dana smiled. "I'm right behind you. See you on Monday."

"See you on Monday." Quinn repeated.

Quinn changed into a baby pink knee-length tank top dress. She pulled her hair out of its bun and combed her fingers through it.

Quinn put on white wedges and hurried to the restaurant, which luckily, wasn't too far from her job and her apartment.

I'm here. What does he look like?

he's wearing a red button-down shirt

dark brown hair

tall but shorter than me

his name is Noah

tell me when u find him

Quinn scanned the restaurant for Finn's friend. She finally spotted a man with big muscles sitting alone at a table for two while scrolling through his phone.

I think I found him

Quinn put her phone away. She took a deep breath as she approached the table.

"Noah? I'm Quinn Fabray, Finn's friend." Quinn said. "I'm so sorry I'm late."

"That's okay." Noah nodded as he put his phone away and stood up to greet Quinn. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Noah Puckerman."

"It's nice to meet you, too." Quinn smiled as she sat down across from Noah.

"Finn told me you were pretty, but he did not do you justice." Noah stated as he sat back down.

"Thank you." Quinn blushed. "I have to be honest, Finn didn't tell me much about you. He just said you're his best friend."

"Yeah." Noah said. "Finn and I have been friends since we were, like, five."

Quinn raised her eyebrow. "If you're his best friend, how come I've never met you before?"

"Well, I moved away right after I turned ten." Noah explained. "When my parents officially split."

"Oh." Quinn frowned. "I'm sorry."

Noah shook his head. "It's good. What about you? How do you know Finn?"

"I met Finn when I moved here, well, to Ohio in middle school." Quinn answered. "We dated briefly, and he helped me through a lot of... personal stuff."

"He's a good friend." Noah noted. "Kind of the reason I joined the Air Force."

"Really?" Quinn asked.

"Yeah, I just wanted to be good." Noah stated. "Like he is."

"Thank you for your service." Quinn smiled. "That can't be easy."

Noah shrugged. "The hardest part for me is being away from my mom and my sister."

"Are you close with your sister?" Quinn wondered.

"It depends on the day." Noah smiled. "She's about seven years younger than me, so the age gap is tough sometimes."

Quinn nodded.

"Do you have any siblings?" Noah questioned Quinn.

"I had a sister, but we don't..." Quinn trailed off. "She lives in Chicago and I live here. Being a lawyer keeps me so busy."

"You're a lawyer?" Noah raised his eyebrow. "There's no way you're old enough to be a lawyer."

Quinn nodded. "I took a lot of summer courses and intercession courses, and then I took the bar exam early."

"Wow, you must be really smart." Noah said. "What kind of law do you practice?"

"Family law and personal injury." Quinn answered. "I'm always working."

Noah smiled. "That's really nice. How'd you decide to become a lawyer?"

"It's a long story." Quinn stated. "Not really a first date kind of story."

"Well, when I take you out for a second date, maybe you'll tell me." Noah smirked.

Quinn grinned. "Maybe."
