I'm baaaack! :D

Hello! I know I put the announcements at the bottom, but this is not necessarily an announcement. I just want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you. This is the tenth chapter of this story, I am only 9 chapters in, and this story is almost to 500 reads, like that

That is absolutely beautiful, and it means so much to me, because we haven't even gotten that far into the story!

So, thank you all so, so much. This chapter is for all of you. :)

{Author's POV}

     Roman woke up with a crick in his neck and a sore back. He knew he had fallen asleep on the couch before he even opened his eyes all the way. Sure enough when he opened them, he saw the couch, the TV still on to the title screen of Corpse Bride, and...Virgil asleep in the armchair, curled up into a cute little ball.

     He froze, admiring the site, before standing up and stretching, sighing in relief at the popping sound his back and neck made as the pain ebbed itself out of his body. He wished to wake Virgil, but decided against it. Then he stopped, his eyes widening.

     This may be the only chance I have.

     Without a second thought, Roman rushed up the stairs as quietly as he could and raced down the hall to Virgil's room.

     "Roman?" Logan's voice perked up from behind him. Roman jumped, turning around to see Logan across the hall, staring at him with a suspicious glance.

     "Oh. Good morning, Logan. I was just seeing if Virgil is awake for, uh, breakfast." Roman said, spitting out the first excuse he could think of.

     "Strange, I went down to the kitchen five minutes ago and saw Virgil sleeping on the couch. I came upstairs to see if Patton was awake." Logan explained, giving Roman a glance that tore through the lie.

     Roman sighed. He couldn't fool Logan that easily.

     "I was going to tell you eventually. I wanted to figure things out myself further before we jump to any conclusions about Virgil unfairly. I was going in there to...figure things out further." Roman admitted.

     "I'd rather you explain to me what it is you're so suspicious about before you go snooping in Virgil's room." Logan said.

     "Listen, this may be the only chance I have to figure things out. Virgil is always in his room. Could you maybe just, I don't know...distract him if he wakes up? Give me a chance to get some answers and then I'll tell you everything, ok?" Roman pleaded with him.

     Logan did not like betraying Virgil's trust. They'd all worked hard to build it up, and now the two of them were practically conspiring against him and sneaking around behind his back, and it made Logan uncomfortable. However, if Roman was right, and something serious was going on, especially if it affected Thomas, it was his job to know and handle it accordingly.

     Finally, he gave in with a deep sigh. "Fine. Make it quick, and do not let Patton know what is going on. He will not be happy with us for doing this, but as it may be something that could affect Thomas, I find it imperative to at least have some idea as to what is going on if Virgil will not tell us." Logan said, shaking his head. He could only imagine what Patton would say to them if he found out, how Virgil would feel.

     "I will. Watch out for Virgil." Roman said. Logan nodded, then watched as Roman disappeared into Virgil's room, locking the door behind him. Logan went downstairs, seeing Virgil still asleep on the couch. He went into the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of orange juice and pulling the newspaper from yesterday off of the counter, continuing an unfinished crossword puzzle.
