The next couple of days consisted of you training with Jace and Clary. Alec had to take over sometimes because Jace was too busy running after your sister and today was one of those days.

"I still don't get it" Alec panted as he tried to hit you with a sword but you deflected it "how are you two sisters? Let alone twins?"

"I don't know" You huffed while attacking him but he dodged it with ease.

"Like she has so many emotions and you have... none" He continued.

"I don't know" You repeated.

"And why does everyone like her so much? She has brought nothing but trouble to this institute" He said.

"I don't know Alec! You seem to be obsessed with her too because all you can talk about is her" You snapped and threw your swords to the ground.

Alec took this opportunity to sweep you off your feet and you hit the ground with a thud. "I guess I was wrong. You do have feelings after all"

"Of course I have. I wasn't raised to suppress them from a very young age like you, in case you forgot" You said and took his hand to stand back on your feet.

"But still, why don't you care about your mother missing more?" He pressed.

"We were never that close. She only had eyes for Clary most of the time. She's talented while I suck at almost everything I do. Besides, she did lie to us for our whole lives. Clary may see her as a Saint but she deceived us." You explained.

"If it makes you feel any better, your fighting skills are much better then hers" Alec smiled at you.

"You're just saying that to make me feel better" You replied while rolling your eyes.

"I'm not" He defended himself which made you smile.

"Thank you. Nobody has ever put me above Clary" You thanked him.

As if on cue Jace and Clary walked in.

"You're late. Again" Alec said, returning to his stiff posture with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

"Am I?" He asked absolutely not bothered.

"You have a responsibility to uphold, Jace," His parabatai said.

"And that's exactly what I'm doing" He defended himself.

"No, you're not. There are two of them in case you've forgotten." Alec said which made all eyes land on you.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry-" Jace started to apologize.

"It's okay. I'm used to being forgotten. If you'd excuse me, Isabelle wanted to speak to me" You smiled at them and left.

That was a lie but you hated being the center of attention and you knew Isabelle wouldn't mind the company.

You didn't need to look for long because she was in her room, reapplying her makeup.

"Can I come in?" You asked as you softly knocked on the open door.

"Of course!" She said with a wide smile. "You look like you could use a drink"

"I'm so fed up with everyone only caring about Clary" You sighed.

"I get it. Living in your sibling's shadow isn't exactly the most fun thing in the world" She sympathized.

"So Jace and Alec?" You hinted.

"You notice it too? But don't worry, Jace is single if that's what you're asking. They're a parabatai" She explained.
