STORY CREATED BY lolieslife
You were punching the punching bag late at night. Most of the Shadowhunter had gone to sleep but you were tearing open the skin on your knuckles. You were frustrated. You hated the fact that your own mother was the reason why you didn't fit in.
You were never able to reflect your emotions correctly and now that you come to think of it, it explains so much.
You lost so many friends because you didn't know why they would feel a certain emotion in a certain situation and you'd always say that they were just exaggerating.
You dropped out of school because you didn't see the point of it and you never felt remorse for a second.
"We should use it. Alec, we should use it to get to Valentine." You heard Jace say as he and Clary followed Alec like lost puppies.
"If I were Valentine, I'd make sure you think that you could rescue Jocelyn. And then I'd lure Clary to me and leverage her life for the Cup." Alec replied as he activated a rune on the ground, making a hiding place appear.
"I like Jace's idea. We saved Simon from the vampires that way." Clary agreed with the blonde.
"Yeah... vampires. Bored, decadent, self-involved vampires. Valentine is a real threat. He can't be handled by four-and-a-half Shadowhunters." Alec argued making you smile a little. He saw you as an equal.
"Five" you heard Clary argued making Alec roll his eyes at her.
You were so focused on Alec and Clary's discussion that you hadn't noticed Jace staring at you. Soon enough Clary walked away frustrated and Alec walked off too.
You looked at the blonde who had been looking at you the whole time but his eyes traveled to your bloody hands.
"You okay?" He asked.
"What? Yeah, it's nothing" You replied touching the cuts, making you wince in pain.
"Come on, let's get that cleaned up" he ordered making you follow him silently.
He made a cloth wet and dapped the blood away.
"You did well with that demon you know. Not many Shadowhunters can say that they've killed a Greater Demon" Jace said.
"I just did what I felt was right. No memories are worth a human life" you replied.
"I think it's more than that," he said looking you in the eyes. "I think you like me"
"I think you have the wrong Fairchild in mind" you replied back. "Besides why would you care? You clearly like Clary a lot more"
"Who says that?" He asked.
"Your body language" you simply replied. "Anyway, I thought you were gonna train me? When's that gonna happen?"
"Let's go then" he replied walking back to the training room, making you follow him.
"Let's see what all the others have taught you, grab your Katana" he ordered as he turned back around towards you and pulled out his seraph blade.
You did as told and got into fighting position. You waited for Jace to make the first move as he usually does. You dodged it with ease and continued your fight.
"Are you even trying?" You taunted with a smirk, sudden confidence overtaking you.
He huffed in response and charged again but you managed to block it and even hold his arm that has the blade in a lock.
You were extremely close and were breathing both heavily.
"Jace!" You heard an unknown voice call out for him.
