"Now you want to press charges on a Mr.Rushing Hartman?" He asked. I nod. "Didn't you come in here a little over two years ago wanting to press the same charges?" The officer asked. I shook my head. "You're not Mrs.Graceffa?" He asked. "Well I am but theres also three other women you could be talking about." I explained.
"Cherish Graceffa." He told me. "She was previously Cherish Hartman but got her name legally changed back to Cherish Graceffa."
"Cherish is my sister, she was never Cherish Hartman, her and Rushing Hartman were never married."I said.
"The state of California says other wise, they were married for three months. She divorced him after he beat the life out of her because he wouldn't have sex with him." He exclaimed.
"W-what?" "I cant tell you the whole story but here are some pictures."
The officer showed me pictures of Cherish, black and blue bruises covering her ribs and her back, nail marks along her thighs.
Then it all made since. Rushing killed my sister.
I remember a week or so before she died she complained of her side hurting, so bad she couldn't breathe. Cherrys body was like glass, one punch and its broken.
Rushing beat the glass to shards.
Now what was a rape charge became a murder case, and no one knew it but me and Cherry.

He knew for two years. Thats why he drinks all the time and sleeps with girl after girl trying to forget. Thats why he can't let her go. He knows he murdered her and now he can't live with himself.
"Im sorry Officer I must go, may I re schedule this meeting another time?" I asked. He nods. "But Mrs.Graceffa?" He asked catching me before I escaped.
"Yes?" I asked. "If hes hurt you or any other girl you contact the authoritys immediately." He said.
I nod. "Will do." I said half lying.
I left the police station with the Murder of Cherish Graceffa resting in my hands.
