Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!New Year's day! How exciting!
I always love a new year! It always feels so promising and important. But my favourite thing of all about it is the party! You don't know what I'm talking about? Well, I don't blame you. It's not that common to have a New Year's party anymore. But that's what our family do! And we do it every year! There's singing and dancing, family and friends, games and fun, yummy food and... gifts! Yes, that's right! Everyone gets gifts! And, guess what! This diary itself is one of them! Nana gave it to me and although the party has only just started, I'm writing in it straight away!I haven't even opened any of my other gifts yet, but I'm sure this diary is the best out of all of them. In fact, it's the best gift I've ever got in my life!

The party was great. But that goes without saying, doesn't it? What doesn't go without saying is that it was the best party I've ever been to.Not just the best New Year's party. The best party including all my birthday parties plus other people's birthday parties and any Christmas parties, Halloween parties, farewell parties, housewarming parties etc.
And today is a new day, and I'm writing in my diary. I can't believe I was so foolish as to never write a diary before. I love writing and wish I could do more of it. It's going to be so fun to write in my diary every day.And New Year is the perfect time to start! Now, I commit to writing at least once a day, and when this diary is finished, there's no reason for it to end. I'll just buy a new diary and start all over again!
