Not again!!! Why didn't I write yesterday? I couldn't have been that busy. What was I doing?

Answer: Reading. Well, not just reading, but mostly. Same as every day. I also talked to Leanne, and to Tina, another librarian. Tina is really nice, but she is also a complete scatterbrain! I tried to remind her about a book I'd asked about, and first she couldn't remember, then she thought it was a different book and then she tried to tell me that the library didn't have it! I had looked it up on the catalogue computers just this morning so I knew that the library did in fact have it. This is why I prefer Leanne to Tina. Leanne is the complete opposite of scatterbrained. She is very neat and organized, with an immaculate memory! (You don't know what "immaculate"means? No wonder. I know lots of big words. It all comes of reading a lot.)

Emma was in the library again today. She invited me to come out with her, and I agreed. So we left the library and walked down the road to the park. Once we got there we climbed a tree and sat in it and talked for hours. We talked about books and all sorts of other stuff. It was such fun!

After we had already been sitting there for a while, Emma said to me: "Isn't this nice, Rosa? I hope you're enjoying yourself as much as I am!"

I laughed. "Oh, Emma," I said. "Of course I'm enjoying myself! I always enjoy myself when I'm with you!"

"Oh, Rosa," said Emma, giving me a hug. "It's so good to have such a great friend!"

"Same here," I smiled.

But Emma had no idea how much I meant it. She didn't know that I was far more thankful for her friendship than she ever would have dreamed possible.

Lemony Snicket.

A Series of Unfortunate Events. All the Wrong Questions.

Oh! This must be Emma's book recommendation! I had forgotten all about it. I just finished the book I was reading so I'll read it right now! Bye, Diary!
