I stayed at Leanne's place last night. We talked about my book, which I thought I was only one chapter away from finishing. But then she said something that made me think. In the story, Althea has just reached The Last Glade, and it's only possible to go on from there with the help of a guide. There are two people there who claim to be the guide, and she has to decide who to trust. She chooses her guide and continues on her journey. But then Leanne said: "Are you sure the ending isn't coming too easily?" And I realized it was. All of a sudden I thought: What if her choice turns out to be the false guard? All of a sudden I had a great plot twist and a longer story! Thanks so much, Leanne!!!I started writing as soon as I got the opportunity today. I wrote two chapters, then I decided to write in my diary because I haven't written for a while. Now I'm going to read.

The other day, I was looking for something to read, and I remembered that Emma said Kate DiCamillo was a good author at the beginning of the year, when she saw me reading The Tiger Rising. I decided to read her other books. The first one I picked up was The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. It was amazing! I spent the past few days reading all her books. They were all amazing. She is an amazing author!!!

A lot has happened since I last wrote.I stayed the night at Leanne's again. She told me that Gail Carson Levine, the author of Ella Enchanted has actually written lots of books, including books on writing. I read all her books(they were amazing) and her writing advice, which was so helpful for my book!!!
I also went to Evie's birthday party. It was fairy tale themed and amazing. We all had to dress up as a fairy tale character. I went as Rapunzel. Of course I didn't have the clothes, but Emma lent me a dress and a long hair wig! (my hair is already long of course, but this wig went down to the ground!)
The Anti Book Movement have also been particularly bad lately. The four leaders come to the library every day after school to bully me, and other members come along quite often. Once Brooke was there with me. She was so upset that she wrote an amazing song about it, and played it to me the next day! (She's amazing at music. She's got an amazing singing voice and writes amazing songs. She's also being playing about five instruments since she was very young and is amazing at all of them.)Anyway, that's all for now. Bye!!!
