Storms' POV
It was the next day. Also known as time to set my plan into action. The students were behind the school again waiting for me. I texted Hawks to meet me back there and headed down.
As I walked into the clearing the students excitedly huddled around me. "How was it?" Iida politely asked.
"Good. We totally didn't buy the two most expensive things on the menu." I grinned. They whooped and cheered excitedly as I handed the credit card back to Todoroki.
"And the dare?" Kaminari asked.
"That's why I brought you all back here. As soon as he goes to sit down I'll do the dare." I said. They giggled and whispered energetically.
"Alright, go do a game or something." I said. The class shuffled off, starting a game. Todoroki and Shinso followed me over to the tree.
"You two are the key components to my plan," I began. "Shinso, you go tell Hawks Todoroki is complaining about something. Act like yourself. I'll be over with the others. Todoroki, tell Hawks you'd prefer that not everyone could hear your reason for complaining, okay? I'll come over and play my part." They nodded. Quickly, I rushed over to the students, messing around with them.
Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Hawks was already being lured over. "Here goes nothing." I said. The students eagerly watched as I snuck up on Hawks. He had leaned over a little so he could hear Todoroki better. Without warning, I wrapped my arms around his torso, careful to avoid his wings, lightly pressing myself against him.
He choked, standing up. I backed away, biting my cheek to keep from laughing until I saw his reaction. Hawks spun around, his face bright red, eyes wide. He couldn't speak. I laughed, sobbing. The students started laughing as well, quite satisfied with their dare.
"W-What w-was that a-about?!" Hawks stuttered, finally able to talk after a couple minutes.
"It was a dare! Remember, yesterday? I told them they could ask me a dare even though I won dodgeball?" I coughed, trying to calm down.
"W-What was t-the dare exactly?" He asked.
"Make you blush badly." I said.
He seemed a little lost. Without warning, Hawks turned around, going inside. I sighed.
Might've gone too far... I'll ask later.
I decided, hanging out with the students some more before heading in.
I tracked Hawks down to his room. Usually I would just enter without permission, an unfortunate habit of mine, but something told me to knock. So I did.
There was a bit of shuffling before Hawks opened the door.
"Well hey! What're you doing here? I thought you were with the students?" He frowned, his usual jovial attitude having returned.
"Can I come in for a second?" I asked.
"Storms we're not even dating, don't get ahead of yourself!" He teased. I cast a lazy, slightly irritated glance at him as he shut the door.
"S-Sorry. Too far, huh?" He looked away, embarrassed.
"That's actually why I came to talk to you." I said, leaning against the wall, crossing my arms.
"Did I do something?"
"No, I was concerned that I did something wrong. You just left when I explained the dare." I replied.
"Oh. Right. A-About that... heh..." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck anxiously.
"I uh... just got a little flustered, if you know what I mean." He ducked his head shyly.
I thought for a minute about what he meant before laughing.
"It's not funny!" He yelped.
"Is too!"
"F-Fine! Call it funny if you want. Just keep it between us, okay?" He grumbled.
"Of course." I said, becoming serious.
"Thank you." He sighed, pausing for a moment.
"Hey, it's almost spring break, isn't it?" Hawks asked.
"It is. Why?"
"I was gonna ask if you wanted to go to the beach with me? You're always working so hard for the students and you deserve a break." He said.
"Yeah. I'll go." I nodded.
"Awesome! I'll find a couple dates and send them to you later so I don't disturb your schedule in case you have anything planned." He grinned.
"Sounds good. I'll see you later then." I smirked, brushing my tail against the underside of his chin as I walked by, closing the door behind me.
The beach, huh? Gotta go see if I actually own any swimsuits later.
I chuckled to myself, heading back outside. The students had moved in front of their dorm, playing what looked like some sort of extreme jump-rope mixed with dodgeball. I sat down on the porch of Heights Alliance, watching them. Normally, if a teacher followed the students around like this, they'd start to complain that we didn't trust them. But they seemed happy when I stayed close by. I figured it made them feel safe, considering how many times they had been attacked by villains.
That's what I thought, anyways.
